Oh, summer is just around the corner and I am wondering what activities I could have for my kids. I am thinking to either enroll them to a voice lesson class or could be a piano lesson class. I want something music related this time. My eldest said their music teacher showed them a mitchell banjo in class. She is somehow interested on how to play that folk instrument. I wonder if there is a summer class available for that. What about you, what are your choices for summer class/activities of your kids?

In today’s time and age, it is hard to cope up with the demands of everyday living. If you a parent, chances are you are having challenges in juggling family life and career. Kids nowadays are becoming demanding too. There are a lots of studies that have been associated how important the formative years of children. Now you need to provide much attention and effort in providing the best for your children. Recently, I am trying to do time management that will benefit my family life and kids. I need to devise a plan that would surely work for my kids and my clients too. There are days that I really need to let my kids attend childcare instead. How I wish there are schools like those of Pre Schools Adamstown in our area which offers part-time and full-time places that is directed in every parent’s working lifestyle today. These childcare centers like Giraffe Childcare and Early Learning centres offer young children four months – 6 years an environment that provides creative stimulation and play activities. Their staff are known to be highly competent to child development which promotes positive learning and imagination. They believe that children actually develop and learn in different ways and different phase. And that early years of education is an integral learning curve for the child.  For me, getting help from institutions like this are saving grace for parents like me.  I hope I get to find a center suited for my kids and my working lifestyle as well.

So these are my girls…

Aren’t they a model in the making? Gorgeous aren’t they? Sorry love your own. But they are just like this with people they know. They are both very shy actually. That is why I have building their confidence by letting them go through some summer workshops like the Trumpets play shop so they can develop more their talents. More about the Trumpets Play Shop on my next post. For the meantime, I am already preparing for the 7th Birthday of Margaux. I am actually on the lookout for printdirectforless poster printing available as I need it for the birthday theme I am thinking. Do advise me if you have leads.

My kids enjoy being part of the McDonald’s Kiddie Crew this year. It was a week-long activity where about 15-20 kids get to experience to be one of the crew of this popular food chain. There was a registration of only Php 500 but the fee comes with T-shirt, bag, and a cap already. The kids were also fed every after their session. My kids had a blast on this summer activity. They get to enjoy being a greeter by the door, a cashier where they actually do not need a barcode scanner anymore, a crew who prepares the order and even a crew assigned in drive thru. And a stage mom like me, won’t miss these moments with my kids. Sharing few pictures…

I was browsing the internet for some nice hair colors when I came across about www.besthairlossproducts.org. Learned about the different hair loss products available and its reviews.  But I am still in quest on what is an appropriate hair color for me.  I need to see my stylist soon as am not happy with the re-growth of white hair on top.  I am also thinking to have my keratin treatment again but oh, it is just so expensive so need to save up some more.  For the meantime, I am sharing pictures of my girls during the Easter celebration in Edsa Shangrila Hotel last week.

Could these be my future rockers? They were very much hooked up watching the performance of Justin Bieber and Usher during the Grammy Awards last week. They are just adorable to look at. Yes, my two girls are fans of Justin Bieber. Talking about music, I am already thinking where to send my girls for summer class. Do you have plans for your kids already? I am thinking to enroll them in Trumpets this year because we failed to do so last year as we had a US vacation. Aside from that, my eldest want to try violin too. And oh she likes ballet as well. Wow, it could be a pretty busy summer. My other daughter on the other hand wants hip hop dancing. Now, I am in search for programs where I can enroll the girls. Need to plan ahead as I also do not want them to be too preoccupied this summer. I have to get a great program for them.

How’s life been with me and the family? Sorry folks (to my avid readers) ;) if I haven’t been posting more  personal stuff in this blog. For one, I have really been busy with work. Also, I am trying to choose now what to write. Apparently, after carefully screening my posts, I ended up not posting anything, so major boo! I don’t want to promise that I would regularly be writing more personal stuff because promises could be made to be broken. Instead, I will just try my best  ok? Besides, there are so much happenings I would like to share so I need major back-  tracking here.

For the meantime, let me recall the things I would like to share and just put everything in a  nutshell while I still cannot sleep at this time of writing (too much coffee for the day!) and taking advantage that I still have the blogging mojos with me as well.

1. I am hopeful for 2011. 2010 has been a very good year so I look forward to a better 2011.  With all my lucky charms and talismans I bought in time for the chinese new year, I hope  the wonders of these will work on me. But of course, I do not rely much on these alone. Faith  is more important and I am holding on to it.

2. To start of by saying that my 2011 is shinier, my work is taking its peak. I’m happy with my job and that’s what matters most. We finished our January events in flying colors. One major thing that transpired is coordinating a celebrity wedding. Yes, we finally did one! So weddings we have planned and coordinated won’t just be gracing all those bridal magazines like Wedding Essentials, Metro Weddings, Martha Stewart Phils and the like but would also be featured in showbiz magazines like Yes, Buzz and Star Studio Magazine! That’s a major accomplishment! :P Lol! So who’s wedding was it? The very private and beautiful wedding of Oyo Boy Sotto and Kristine Hermosa. Their onsite video are actually posted in Threelogy’s blog.

3. The kids are growing fast. (Sniff, Sniff). Margaux is turning 6 already by March so do you know what it means? Well, I’m already party planning for her 7th Birthday next year. Yeah, working on my plans as early as now and I’m actually panicking already as I need to decide soon already for the venue. Who said birthday party planning cannot happen for a year in advance? Not if I’m the mommy! ;) As being in events company, I’m sure our guests will be expecting more.

4. Bianca, on the other hand is doing good in big school. I knew she could really adjust very well. Oh, they are ending the school year already and I cannot wait for both of them to be performing for the school play as their culminating activity.

5. We have plotted our family travels for the year. We are excited for most of it. To start off, we are flying to Boracay next week. And I am so excited to see the sun, the sand and the beach of course. Not to mention, the extra privilege to stay in Shangrila Boracay. I thought we won’t be able to afford for it but since I am a sucker for sales and discounts, I never miss the chance to  avail the promo when vouchers were sold in Shangrila Greenbelt last year. It will be the second time for the kids. I’m sure they will enjoy it more now since they are bigger. As for me, I am also bigger in size! Lol! That’s the bad news. So I am quite depressed that I can no longer wear the same swimwear I wore in the island some 3 years ago. Now, that’s a major boo! :P

There’s a pretty number of sharing I still like to post but let’s reserve it next time.  It is an odd hour already and sleepiness has finally knocked on my head after 650 words of this blog post.

No promises as I said but will really try to write my mushing and ramblings (more) often ;)

has been the favorite spot of my kids in the mall. If you are in Manila, your family would likely be like ours who flock the malls during weekends.  It’s expensive to stroll in the mall, i must say!  Think we should do otherwise.  But so sad, that there are really nearby parks where my kids can just play so end up really in arcades like Timezone. Margaux is actually addicted to the Love and Berry kiosk.  My gawd, each swipe to the card is already Php 25 so you can imagine how much we are spending if we stay there for like no less than an hour. I know! It’s crazy.  We probably have to redo our game plan during weekends.  Maybe, it is just better to swim in the clubhouse or play badminton or do some arts crafts in the house during the weekend.  Any other suggestions how we could spend a better quality time during weekends?

The girls were ecstatic for their new laptops which I got from Toys ‘R Us in Hong Kong. They immediately opened my luggage when I arrived home.  They actually waited for me even my flight back home was late in the evening. Of course, Margaux got the Disney Princess laptop while Bianca has the Dora the Explorer one. These are both Vtech manufactured and I was so happy for the prices. Got it at less than 250HKD each so both are no more than 1,500 in pesos.  Such a great deal!

Are you as addicted as me with Plants vs Zombies? I am an addict to this game. I’m close to finishing the entire play and it’s driving me nuts. I stay up in wee hours just to play. Yes that’s how addicted this game could be. And with that, I am thinking that the costumes of the girls for the halloween could be lifted from one of the plants from this game. Isn’t a great idea? I heard I could get some online coupons for halloween costumes. Can someone tell me where I could grab those?

My kiddies…

Margaux wore a Muslim-inspired costume while Bianca was in a typical “patadyong baro’t saya”

They are so cute right? Sorry, of course, love your own!

These are my two adorable girls now…

Bianca is turning 4 years old in almost 2 months from now, which reminds me, I need to prepare for her birthday party in school. Margaux on the other hand will be 6 years old in 7 months from now. No major party still for her on her 6th since we are preparing for her big birthday bash when she turns 7. Party themes are already playing in my mind. Don’t blame me as I am an event planner and I have to live up with it.

Although these girls still fight over some toys, and that I’m stressed whenever one of them would cry already because of it,  I would like to think that they are still the best of friends…

If you are a mom, are you already preparing for the Trick or Treat costume of your kids? I am actually. Last year, just got the girls the costume from SM department store since didn’t get the chance to really prepare for it. But i was still surprised that Margaux won 2nd place on the best costume. Now, I have been thinking and browsing the internet on what’s a nice costume this year for both of them. Some friends are looking at pirate costumes, animal costumes, career costumes all available at www.buycostumes.com. Might also get from there so I need to order already so I won’t rush for the shipping and the costumes could get here before the trick or treat events.

are growing so fast. So i don’t take any chances not to cuddle them. I actually miss them being so tiny and little, so helpless and so dependent. But I just can’t stop the hands of time so I am just making the most of it. Spending time with them is always precious and something I wouldn’t trade off. A number of our friends were asking as to when will we get pregnant again. We still want actually. Hopefully a boy this time? But how could we be so sure of the gender? I hope the chinese calendar is really effective. But for the meantime, I am considering to take some diet supplements so I can be in better shape and weight first before I end up being pregnant again!

already since last week. So I was pretty busy in preparing their stuff for school. I’m one stage mother again as I brought and picked them up from school on their first week. They now go to the same school. Margaux being in Kinder and Bianca in First Step. I was kinda worried how Bianca would actually take the first few days. I was really praying that she would have an easy time to adjust in a bigger school. I remember Margaux took weeks before she finally let go of my hands whenever she would enter the gate. But Bianca was different. She went inside and held her teacher’s hand without hesitate. Guess what they said about most second child being more aggressive is true. Probably seeing her sister Margaux wearing the same uniform matters as well. Margaux is becoming more of an “older sister” now to Bianca. I like it whenever she would coach Bianca anything about school. I really think my girls will be real BFF (Best Friends Forever)!

They are now two in the same school…

I’m becoming sentimental again! (sniff, sniff, sniff). I still can’t believe that they are now 5 and 3 years old respectively. Oh, they are growing up so fast. Really can’t hold off the time. And that’s how it is but they would forever be my babies. I am sure when they read my blogs, they would truly know how much I love them very much and how proud I am about them too.

This week has already been regular school schedules. No fuss on waking up early. So happy! At least, less stress in the morning. I commend the yayas for letting them sleep early too especially if I’m still out for meetings. It was a breeze with Bianca. She actually didn’t have any separation anxiety or even school adjustment up to this writing. I remember Margaux was a bit hesitant to enter school when she was in First Step. Seeing her Ate Margaux entering the same school could have been really a big inspiration for Bianca.

Morning rituals are done from waking up at 6am, eating breakfast, taking a bath and toothbrushing on different faucets to make it quicker for them to finish so they can both dress up already. In no time, they are both ready to hop on the car on the way to school.

It has been a fruitful 2 weeks for them in school so far and I always look forward to their stories every time they come home.

They are called mommy’s happiness!

You may call them my fashionable jet setter kids…

jetsettergirls1
jetsetter2

Left Manila last May 13 at 10pm and we safely arrived in Los Angeles Airport at 8pm, May 13 (LA time). Purposely, I had the girls wore skirts so it would be a lot easier when they need to go to the lavatory. You know how tight it is to be in there. Asked them to wear those easy slip on shoes as well so it was also easy to remove their shoes during check-ups/screening in the airport. Notice that I also wore a dress instead.  It was indeed a breeze to move around and to manage the kids with their wardrobe.  I just brought with me some leggings for them to wear whenever they feel cold.  I think we would make it  a habit when travelling.

Me and my princesses

These are my two princesses now. They are growing up so like me! And the husband is warning me, or should I say he should be warned? lol! Margaux in particularly would always want to go out carrying a bag. I’m seeing a bagaholic in the making here. (wink!). She actually pays attention to clothes and shoes I wear so she would want to have the same style as me. On the other hand, Bianca is becoming so girly too. The elder sister is actually influencing her.  They would like to be fondly called Princess Margaux and Princess Bianca.

I have few more errands to finish before we leave like 13 days from now. I am telling myself that I can do it while squeezing in between my meetings. I also need to do a lot of writing and reviews every evening. Good thing, I still do not look too awful since I have been using an eye cream for dark circles. Few things that I have accomplished already are:

1. Renewed passport of Margaux. Glad it arrived on time.
2. Enrolled both kids in school.
2. Ordered for their school uniforms.
3. Had the shutter of Nikon D60 fixed already.
4. Bought new luggage

Few more things to do:

1. Renew driver’s license so I won’t get penalized
2. Finalize and firm up our insurance policies
3. Inquire for travel insurance
4. Process papers for the new acquired “baby”
5. Have my hair color/hair cut.
6. Bring kids for pedia check-up

I would like to finish the rest within the coming week. I really hope so. Good luck to me as I am doing these things in between meetings as well.

Crocgabby

No, this is no clarks shoes (which I would like to get myself by the way) but the above is Bianca’s Crocs Gabby. She only wore these few times and it doesn’t fit her anymore this time. It is just one of the items I have cleaned up from the kids’ closet last week and have posted in my flickr account as “for sale.” Gee, so surprised that most clothes and shoes like these have been sold in minutes just after posting it. Thanks to my twittermates ;) lol!
