As usual, stress is taking its toll on me again. But how I wish I could lose weight with just too much stress. Wonder if there is such thing as stress diet? Instead of shedding off some pounds, I am actually gaining weight. I am a stress eater actually! I tend to eat more, especially on carbohydrates if I am too preoccupied with work. Now, I am already considering the reviews I read from the best diet pills. Anyone who have tried it and have some significant recommendations?
Off to a quick trip this month. It’s a combined work + pleasure getaway. Where are we headed? Will do an ocular and suppliers meeting in Shangri-la Mactan, Cebu and then I decided to bring the kids as well so we can all stay in this nice posh hotel. It would be the first time of the kids. So now, I am pressured to find the best weight loss supplements so I can still fit in my skinny swimsuits. Looking forward to getting a tan! Woot!
Should this SBD still won’t work, then I would consider taking Diet and energy pills already. A typical south beach diet breakfast meal for me would be like this…

That is onion omelette and a slice of daing na bangus. It is surprising that is actually filling. This breakfast meal can already last me until around 10am. Then I take about 10 pieces of cashew nuts that can again last me until lunch time. A typical lunch won’t have rice at all. It would just be like about 20 slices of beef tenderloin, soup and a salad. I would almost burp already every time I would just see the salad. After 14 days in SBD, I am ok not to have salads for a year, lol! There would be an afternoon snacks like 2 slices of ham lyoner. Dinner would be a light fish sauteed in soy sauce.
This is a typical SBD diet and I have lasted on it for 14 days!
We have a number of chocolates inside the refrigerator and no one is bothering to eat it. Thank goodness, the kids don’t eat much of it as well, otherwise I’m sure I would have problems on their teeth. I would probably have to give those out already to my nephews instead. Otherwise I would really be tempted! Not a good one since sweets are really not included on the diet! I have survived 14-days of not eating chocolates! It’s an accomplishment!
I was done with one cycle of Phase 1 of South Beach Diet. The verdict? Lost about 7 pounds. It was kinda fast on my end and I’m happy with results. Though I really didn’t get another cycle yet but I have been thinking. If it would worth to lose another 7 pounds, might really consider. There is so much more to lose and I need to work doubly harder for it as well. The husband ordered as well his Phase 1 cycle. We both need to lose a lot of weight (oh, he has more to lose actually
). Praying that both of us can keep up with this diet.
I’m almost done with the phase 1-14 days of SBD and I am happy to note that I am 6 pounds lighter!!!! Yipee. I should celebrate I think! lol Still undecided to continue for another cycle as I still have a long way to go for my desired weight. No more craving for carbs too. The only thing I’m battling still is not eating sweets. I admit, I sometimes cheat. I think it is something I would rather compromise not to give up at all.
Yes, today is my first day for South Beach Diet as I previously blogged. Nothing fancy, just plain healthy eating. No sweets, no carbs, no fatty foods. Will eat food that are low in glycemic index to stop me from craving. I weighed this morning, let’s see what happens after the 14 days. Hoping a healthier me after this.
According to Wikipedia, here’s what’s written about it…
The South Beach Diet is relatively simple in principle. It replaces “bad carbs” and “bad fats” with “good carbs” and “good fats.”
“Good carbs” vs “bad carbs”
According to Agatston, hunger cycles are triggered not by carbohydrates in general, but by carbohydrate-rich foods that the body digests quickly, creating a spike in blood sugar. Such foods include the heavily refined sugars and grains that make up a large part of the typical Western diet. The South Beach Diet eliminates these carbohydrate sources in favor of relatively unprocessed foods such as vegetables, beans, and whole grains. Carbohydrate sources are considered “good” only if they have a low glycemic index.
“Good fats” vs “bad fats”
Given that South Beach Diet was designed by a cardiologist, it should be no surprise that it eliminates trans-fats and discourages saturated fats. Although foods rich in these “bad fats” do not contribute to the hunger cycle, they do contribute to LDL cholesterol and heart disease. The South Beach Diet replaces them with foods rich in unsaturated fats and omega-3 fatty acid which contribute to HDL cholesterol and provide other health benefits. Specifically, the diet excludes the fatty portions of red meat and poultry, replacing them with lean meats, nuts, and oily fish.
Phases
Agatston divides the South Beach Diet into three phases, each progressively becoming more liberal. “Phase 1″ lasts for the first two weeks of the diet. It eliminates all sugars, processed carbohydrates, fruits, and some higher-glycemic vegetables as well. Its purpose is to eliminate the hunger cycle and is expected to result in significant weight loss. “Phase 2″ continues as long as the dieter wishes to lose weight. It re-introduces most fruits and vegetables and some whole grains as well. “Phase 3″ is the maintenance phase and lasts for life. There is no specific list of permitted and prohibited foods. Instead, the dieter is expected to understand the basic principles of the diet and live by the principles.
Yes, the husband is back to SB (South Beach Diet). It’s a rush thing as he is already losing on our bet! lol! He is even considering those diet pills that work he read over the internet so he wants us to check tomorrow if those are available in our local drugstores. But I am surprised that he lost few pounds already for just 2 days? Hmmm, in less than a week, we would know the final verdict. Who is the biggest loser and who will win the biggest prize?
Can you tell me should I still need top rated diet pills after looking at my current pictures below? I have lost few pounds already and still working on achieving my ideal weight. It’s a lot of hard work I tell you and it isn’t easy at all. Like yesterday, cheated again by feasting over chinese food in Hap Chan for lunch and eating crabs with lots of rice in Dampa for dinner. So I need to do some exercising today to burn all those carbs I took over the weekend. Sorry, can’t really help but talk about dieting…it is indeed a hard task! Wish there’s an easy way to this.
Our home edition would officially start on April 5!
Yeah, the husband and I made a deal to go on a bet to lose weight seriously. When I say serious, it means it comes with a prize at stake as to whoever between us would win the competition. lol!
We need to lose at minimum 10% of our current weight after a month. We would try to do all means on our own without cheating. I am so determined to lose weight so I may not eat anymore starting Monday, lol!
I am dead set to win either a new bag (wink!) or some loose diamonds for a new pair of earrings! (wee!) But kidding aside, the prize would be healthier and longer life. It would be for our kids. Wish us luck!
