I can’t wait for my new baby to arrive this week. I hope there would be no snow storms already in New York as it was supposed to leave there Saturday but it was deferred because of the said storm. I have been waiting it for monthssss now so I guess our meeting would be the sweetest of all! lol! For the meantime, the husband asked me to check some entertainment centers available online or in the mall. He is contemplating to change the guest room to an entertainment room. Apparently, we can’t watch much in our own LCD TV in the room since the kids are co-sleeping with us and would only watch Disney Channel all the time. lol! I might give in to his request since he also gave in to my request for this new baby!

I finally convinced the husband to spend for himself, lol!, as he deserves something great. He has a set budget already and have been thinking to get some of his options: new home theater system, wii, xbox 360 or an iPhone. Glad he chose the iPhone. A good friend offered to get it from the US and bring it with her in time for her arrival on friday here in Manila. I’m pretty excited so I am even going to pick her up in the airport. Got it at a very good deal compared to prices here in Manila. And glad that he agreed to get the 32g of the 3gs so we can load more movies and songs from iTunes!  Do you notice that I’m the one more excited about this new gadget? lol!

No, I didn’t get those boots of the kids from Stuart Weitzman, but I want something there for myself ;) Although I have enough boots already, which in fact I barely use. I am reserving those to use for our upcoming trips.  Got those booties from Zara.  Glad those were on sale :P The kids are complete with their gears with their matching jackets. Although it is not exactly winter when we go to the US, we still would like to wear our wardrobes for picture purpose!  Lol! Anyway, their spring season is cold enough for us! And as an OC mom as I am, I am already preparing for the kids outfit by then!  Can’t wait!  Can’t really wait!

As for me, I have started already on some. But I haven’t started wrapping anything yet so there’s nothing underneath the christmas tree yet. I still have a long list of people to give to. I am hoping I can scout some in the premier outlets while we are in Guam. My nephews actually asked me to get them their  truck accessories. I wonder if there would be available stuff there.  But I’m pretty excited for shopping since I heard that it’s tax-free shopping there.

Have you started your christmas shopping already? As for me, I haven’t actually started on gifts but already bought some christmas decors for the house. We have yet to buy a new lantern also to put in our porch. For the gifts, I haven’t finished my list. I am hoping I won’t forget anyone. There’s an upcoming Toy Sale in Megamall starting tomorrow, November 6 and ends by November 8. I would want to check it out tomorrow. It’s an exclusive sale for entry only of BDO card holders and SM Advantage card holders. For November 7 and 8, it would be open for the public. I hope to finish atleast my list for the godsons and daughters by tonight so I can start shopping as well. Good thing, they do accept credit cards. It would really be easy to plan out purchases that way as long as you also pay your full balance every due date!

in the mall today, I would try to find some christmas decors already for the house. I plan to start decorating right after the halloween. I hope I could manage to squeeze it then. I also want to buy those pine tree or mediterranean fig scent from Alice Blue Candles. That’s a perfect scent for the season. In fact, got to really have those scented candles ready at home since we would have a number of parties and we can’t sometimes control that friends do some Black and Mild cigars. The candles would atleast help clear out the smell.

A number of Filipino Communities all over the world are making efforts to send assistance to our fellowmen who were victims of the recent calamity brought by the storm, Ondoy. It is great to note that we Filipinos do have amazing community spirit and compassion for our fellow countrymen. I heard some are even securely getting COUPONS to get big savings from some online stores. They do this because they are even buying new stuff like clothes so they can donate and send a box here in the country. Particularly, a friend got few Walmart Coupons and he is now buying grocery items and clearance items for babies and kids. A number have been homeless since weekend and no matter how big or small a help could be extended to them are highly appreciated.

Got to find time to make our IT in Hong Kong next week. I haven’t done so. Need to maximize time in the city after 3 days of staying in Disneyland. Will definitely squeeze in a trip to the outlet in TungChung to get some sporty items. And hopefully see something nice in Pedder. As for the trip to the city, a careful plan on how to move from one store to another to find my “new love-s” now. Aside from looking, (just looking) for some jewelries as well with certified diamonds, my main purpose is to look for a Balenciaga Giant Part-time or a YSL Muse. If everything on my plan fails, I’ll go back to my own true LVoe. Got to get myself one in azure. Let’s see. I might still change my mind when I get there.

As I said, I would make separate postings about the distribution of our “bags!” So before I make a research about Seattle personal injury lawyer for a cousin of mine who needs one, let me share some pictures as how we were when Aggie was handing over our purchases! Yes, let’s confess…it was all our purchases, not a “balikbayan pasalubong” from Aggie (although, she seems to look like one while giving out the boxes with our individual names), not for sale to our other friends and not gifts to the birthday celebrants!

As we were looking for some sports gifts to give for some male cousins in Powerplant last December 31, we found ourselves buying nama chocolates from Royce. I was so excited when I learned that our lunch with Dicky’s family will be in Crustacia in Powerplant, where I bumped to Gracie as well. Been really meaning to go to this mall just for Royce Chocolates.

Finally, got hold of these heavenly chocolates. Got 4 nama chocolates.  We ate the milk chocolate while in Crustacia, can’t wait to open it till we got back to the house. So we just brought home 3.   Super yummy. I  immediately  munched the whole “bitter” or the dark chocolates by myself!!!  I gained 3 lbs after!  lol!

I will officially start christmas shopping for this weekend. I have prepared the list and I’m going to look around in the mall today on what to buy for the godsons/goddaughters. I have yet to do the shopping for the aunts and uncles next week. I still don’t know what to get them actually. I saw some small electronics for the uncles especially. I wonder if they would like the GPS available from a handyman store.  I am also checking some items for the husband in the mall.  I asked him last night what he wants to get for christmas.  So corny, he said nothing!   Can that be possible?  I have some things in mind.  I just need to work around my budget.  The husband deserves something “big” this christmas since he has really been “good” to me and the kids.  He said that our “real” christmas would be after March, which is the target completion of the house.  Well, the contruction is really a “big” family christmas gift for all of us.  The purchase of the lot last year was our christmas gift.  Isn’t a big progress?

Ok, time to get ready to hit the mall!

Have you heard the latest buzz that Zenni Optical was on FOX news! Well, I heart this because they have Incredible Stylish New Frames From Zenni and they offer their eyeglasses for a very affordable price. If you will look into their website, you will surely find something that you like. Imagine getting a Zenni Optical $ 8 Rx Eyeglasses? That’s a real steal for an eye wear. I have been thinking that it could be a best gift for my mom also this christmas. What do you think of this one?

from Singapore yesterday. I’m dead tired and thousands broke after this vacation!!!  I need another vacation! lol! But we miss the kids terribly.

On our last day, I, crammed like crazy hoping from one mall to another, while I left Dicky in our hotel room. Yes, I’d rather him not join me so he won’t see my loots, besides he has colds when we were there. The only thing that matters to him was to buy an external drive for his laptop as he needs to increase the memory of his IBM laptop. I still need to download pictures from the trip and sort out our luggages. Will post the vacation story soon.

and we are off to Singapore. Gee, I’m not yet prepared for our itinerary and Dicky has been asking me about it over the weekend. I actually saved a number of blog entries in my laptop from my blogging buddies who went to Singapore so I can get some guidelines for the best places to check. We would be hitting the last week of the Great Singapore Sale so I’m alloting two days for shopping! Pathetic but my shopping list is already done unlike the itinerary!

As I mentioned in my other post that my balikbayan box is Almost Full, I spent my stormy sunday in purchasing some more products online. Thanks to great merchants who has authorize.net features, which means they can accept online payments through credit cards. My box will be on its way by end of the month! I can’t wait to get hold of my purchases. I really can’t wait!

I met up with my gay good friend yesterday in the mall who came recently from UK. I can’t want to see the loots he got there since he said that he got himself some fabulous shoes. I was reprimanding him why he didn’t get a designer luxury bag instead but this friend of mine is no way to be a bag-person. He hates bringing bags actually that’s why he got himself 5 pairs of great looking shoes. Yesterday, he was wearing an alligator dress shoes. He said that it is so classy to get one and even convincing me to get Dicky as well. I’m not sure if my husband would like it because he really doesn’t wear too formal dress shoes. But my friend got it from Upscale Menswear which is the best men’s clothing and shoes store. I was suprised that he just ordered it online while he was vacationing in UK and it arrived right in his doorstep in the hotel room he was staying. The web’s store is carrying Belvedere and Romano alligator skin shoes. These are two of Italy ’s finest exotic skin shoe manufacturers. The shoes are completely handcrafted, and their interior is a soft leather that allows for maximum comfort. That’s why my gay friend has been raving about this.

He’s a gay you know that’s why it is in cognac color!

The balikbayan box in my friend’s MIL is almost full already.  I can’t wait to get hold of all the items I purchased online.  I got bags (wink, wink) but no LV there.  Toys for the kids, all kinds of Leapfrog products plus cartridges as well as new clothes and accessories for the two girls.  I also got an airclimber!  That’s my gift for Dicky so he can also exercise while at home.  With the huge loot I have, my friend says that I can still purchase some more to maximize shipping cost, since I still have about 1/4 space available in the box.  So I’m busy today to check out what else can I purchase online.  I’m now even considering even those bath shower gels, body care, facial care and make-ups.  I even come across some best acne treatment available online! I have a deadline this month to seal the box so they can ship it to me already as my friend’s MIL is moving to a different state.

finally for a Singapore Hotel where we would stay next month.  And yes, I already booked it.  After searching, researching and asking friends around, I’m glad with my (yes, just me and Dicky just said yes to whatever I decided on!, he actually tasked me to do it) decision.  We would be staying in Royal Plaza on Scotts.  It has very good ratings from tripadvisor.com and as Kelly confirmed that the rooms are nice, I was convinced to finally book it online. I made a direct booking to the hotel. Based on the map given to me by Juliet (thanks girl!), the hotel is very near orchard road, it is just perpendicular to the street. From the hotel’s website, it says that it right next to dfs galleria (read as: shopping!) and other known shopping outlets. I have been choosing between Park Hotel where Jane and family stayed before and the Orchard Hotel as suggested also by other friends, since these are both hotels in prime location. But when I checked tripadvisor, I was suprised to see the latest comment/feedback about the Park Hotel that it is bound for demolition already by end of the year, and that speaks for the bad service that they have recently. I don’t know if this is true but I don’t want to risk anything with our stay. Royal Plaza is even cheaper with Orchard Hotel but the first one is newer and has great amenities like free wi-fi access in all corners of the hotel including the rooms. I really hope it would be a worthwhile accommodation.

I’m excited for this trip. It would be our first time (for me and Dicky), although we won’t be bringing the kids :-( Will just shop for them, but we would definitely miss them. Dicky and I always make it a point to once in awhile have a quick getaway just by ourselves. I don’t know if it’s just me but it is my own opinion. Husband and wife deserve breaks like this!

And I’m bound to shop like crazy here since we are still hitting the great singapore sale!

Girlfriends, you should check this Chantelle Bras which I saw online. They are all lovely. They are manufactured with taste and finery. Imagine this.  The parts of the bra are manually assembled by skilled seamstresses with up-to-date industry innovations.   Bras can have up to forty parts to assemble, and require thirty to forty different operations (fifteen – thirty minutes production).  These pieces are actually known to maintain the highest European standards of manufacturing and a Chantelle bra is an investment in quality and tradition. The materials are handcrafted from Europe’s top manufacturers and laces and embroideries are always sold exclusively to Chantelle only. It’s like owning a masterpiece.  It was initially launched in Germany and has gained popularity worldwide.  It’s name is already synonymous to beautiful lingerie.  And if you would like to get one, you can check from Bits of Lace which is a fine European lingerie boutique which carries variety of delicate laces, comfortable cottons, sexy silks and even the full range of fine lingerie from classic to fashionable designs. They have wide selection of exlusive European lines that would suit every woman’s needs. In fact, you can even get those plus size bras which are hard to find in most stores.  I would want to own one definitely.

Can you imagine the soaring prices of gasoline at this time?  Its unimaginable! Been researching on ways on how to save on gas and learned that having your tires in right gauge is actually one way to minimize gas consumption.  I should have my car checked all the time in gasoline station, or I can just buy those portable digital tire gauge which is very handy.  I also realized that I don’t have a flashlight on my car which is an essential tool especially during emergencies.  I should also buy one and I like to get those Shake Flashlights cause I don’t want to be worrying about dead or corroded batteries.
