I will officially start christmas shopping for this weekend. I have prepared the list and I’m going to look around in the mall today on what to buy for the godsons/goddaughters. I have yet to do the shopping for the aunts and uncles next week. I still don’t know what to get them actually. I saw some small electronics for the uncles especially. I wonder if they would like the GPS available from a handyman store.  I am also checking some items for the husband in the mall.  I asked him last night what he wants to get for christmas.  So corny, he said nothing!   Can that be possible?  I have some things in mind.  I just need to work around my budget.  The husband deserves something “big” this christmas since he has really been “good” to me and the kids.  He said that our “real” christmas would be after March, which is the target completion of the house.  Well, the contruction is really a “big” family christmas gift for all of us.  The purchase of the lot last year was our christmas gift.  Isn’t a big progress?

Ok, time to get ready to hit the mall!

Have you heard the latest buzz that Zenni Optical was on FOX news! Well, I heart this because they have Incredible Stylish New Frames From Zenni and they offer their eyeglasses for a very affordable price. If you will look into their website, you will surely find something that you like. Imagine getting a Zenni Optical $ 8 Rx Eyeglasses? That’s a real steal for an eye wear. I have been thinking that it could be a best gift for my mom also this christmas. What do you think of this one?

from Singapore yesterday. I’m dead tired and thousands broke after this vacation!!!  I need another vacation! lol! But we miss the kids terribly.

On our last day, I, crammed like crazy hoping from one mall to another, while I left Dicky in our hotel room. Yes, I’d rather him not join me so he won’t see my loots, besides he has colds when we were there. The only thing that matters to him was to buy an external drive for his laptop as he needs to increase the memory of his IBM laptop. I still need to download pictures from the trip and sort out our luggages. Will post the vacation story soon.

and we are off to Singapore. Gee, I’m not yet prepared for our itinerary and Dicky has been asking me about it over the weekend. I actually saved a number of blog entries in my laptop from my blogging buddies who went to Singapore so I can get some guidelines for the best places to check. We would be hitting the last week of the Great Singapore Sale so I’m alloting two days for shopping! Pathetic but my shopping list is already done unlike the itinerary!

As I mentioned in my other post that my balikbayan box is Almost Full, I spent my stormy sunday in purchasing some more products online. Thanks to great merchants who has authorize.net features, which means they can accept online payments through credit cards. My box will be on its way by end of the month! I can’t wait to get hold of my purchases. I really can’t wait!

I met up with my gay good friend yesterday in the mall who came recently from UK. I can’t want to see the loots he got there since he said that he got himself some fabulous shoes. I was reprimanding him why he didn’t get a designer luxury bag instead but this friend of mine is no way to be a bag-person. He hates bringing bags actually that’s why he got himself 5 pairs of great looking shoes. Yesterday, he was wearing an alligator dress shoes. He said that it is so classy to get one and even convincing me to get Dicky as well. I’m not sure if my husband would like it because he really doesn’t wear too formal dress shoes. But my friend got it from Upscale Menswear which is the best men’s clothing and shoes store. I was suprised that he just ordered it online while he was vacationing in UK and it arrived right in his doorstep in the hotel room he was staying. The web’s store is carrying Belvedere and Romano alligator skin shoes. These are two of Italy ’s finest exotic skin shoe manufacturers. The shoes are completely handcrafted, and their interior is a soft leather that allows for maximum comfort. That’s why my gay friend has been raving about this.

He’s a gay you know that’s why it is in cognac color!

The balikbayan box in my friend’s MIL is almost full already.  I can’t wait to get hold of all the items I purchased online.  I got bags (wink, wink) but no LV there.  Toys for the kids, all kinds of Leapfrog products plus cartridges as well as new clothes and accessories for the two girls.  I also got an airclimber!  That’s my gift for Dicky so he can also exercise while at home.  With the huge loot I have, my friend says that I can still purchase some more to maximize shipping cost, since I still have about 1/4 space available in the box.  So I’m busy today to check out what else can I purchase online.  I’m now even considering even those bath shower gels, body care, facial care and make-ups.  I even come across some best acne treatment available online! I have a deadline this month to seal the box so they can ship it to me already as my friend’s MIL is moving to a different state.

finally for a Singapore Hotel where we would stay next month.  And yes, I already booked it.  After searching, researching and asking friends around, I’m glad with my (yes, just me and Dicky just said yes to whatever I decided on!, he actually tasked me to do it) decision.  We would be staying in Royal Plaza on Scotts.  It has very good ratings from tripadvisor.com and as Kelly confirmed that the rooms are nice, I was convinced to finally book it online. I made a direct booking to the hotel. Based on the map given to me by Juliet (thanks girl!), the hotel is very near orchard road, it is just perpendicular to the street. From the hotel’s website, it says that it right next to dfs galleria (read as: shopping!) and other known shopping outlets. I have been choosing between Park Hotel where Jane and family stayed before and the Orchard Hotel as suggested also by other friends, since these are both hotels in prime location. But when I checked tripadvisor, I was suprised to see the latest comment/feedback about the Park Hotel that it is bound for demolition already by end of the year, and that speaks for the bad service that they have recently. I don’t know if this is true but I don’t want to risk anything with our stay. Royal Plaza is even cheaper with Orchard Hotel but the first one is newer and has great amenities like free wi-fi access in all corners of the hotel including the rooms. I really hope it would be a worthwhile accommodation.

I’m excited for this trip. It would be our first time (for me and Dicky), although we won’t be bringing the kids :-( Will just shop for them, but we would definitely miss them. Dicky and I always make it a point to once in awhile have a quick getaway just by ourselves. I don’t know if it’s just me but it is my own opinion. Husband and wife deserve breaks like this!

And I’m bound to shop like crazy here since we are still hitting the great singapore sale!

Girlfriends, you should check this Chantelle Bras which I saw online. They are all lovely. They are manufactured with taste and finery. Imagine this.  The parts of the bra are manually assembled by skilled seamstresses with up-to-date industry innovations.   Bras can have up to forty parts to assemble, and require thirty to forty different operations (fifteen – thirty minutes production).  These pieces are actually known to maintain the highest European standards of manufacturing and a Chantelle bra is an investment in quality and tradition. The materials are handcrafted from Europe’s top manufacturers and laces and embroideries are always sold exclusively to Chantelle only. It’s like owning a masterpiece.  It was initially launched in Germany and has gained popularity worldwide.  It’s name is already synonymous to beautiful lingerie.  And if you would like to get one, you can check from Bits of Lace which is a fine European lingerie boutique which carries variety of delicate laces, comfortable cottons, sexy silks and even the full range of fine lingerie from classic to fashionable designs. They have wide selection of exlusive European lines that would suit every woman’s needs. In fact, you can even get those plus size bras which are hard to find in most stores.  I would want to own one definitely.
