Over the long weekend…

we spent most of the days lounging around the house. I did a number of cooking after I went to the market last saturday. Then I finished some writing assignments as well so I was glued to the internet. I must admit, I also did some online shopping since Christmas is also just around the corner. I’m due to shop this week for the parties we would be attending in 2 weeks time including the MBAP advance christmas party. I am also still due to post the wishlists of the kids.

But over the long weekend, the husband and I did some talking as well regarding our plans. We sat down to review our starting objectives for the year and checked as to how we have fair with our goals as of this time. We are happy to know that we are on the right track. In fact, looks like we would really manage to get ourselves a nice christmas gift for the family. We also have made initial plans for the year and even two years form now. Well, aside from including travel plans, we are also toying with the idea of the husband taking an Online masters degree. His friend was actually taking one through Gonzaga University, which has been ranked as one of the best universities in the US, ranking numer 3 actually based on US News and World Report. It has also received recognitions by the Princeton Review and Forbes Magazine since it offers several masters degrees online without sacrificing the quality of education. They are known to be a premier choice for online programs since they value the time of professionals who cannot really attend physically to school because of professional and personal commitments. Given these information, husband is highly considering taking on some masters degree online. Got to do some more research about it.

I changed currencies yesterday since I am preparing for our upcoming trip to Singapore. I went to my usual currency dealer and found out that they are also a coin dealer. I found out that coin dealers are usually purchasing gold and other precious metals from Monex Deposit Company (MDC). The company offers personal delivery service. My currency dealer said that actually find MDC very good in customer service cause they can even arrange for safe storage in some independent bank. They have been dealing with the company for a couple of years now. In terms of stability, they said MDC has been in the industry for more than 30 years already. Why am I learning all of these? Cause my dealer is convincing me to go in to thi kind of trade. My mom is asking me to research and check other options on what kills termites because the supplier we contracted few months back wasn’t able to solve the problem we have in our apartment and the tenant has been complaining about it already. Well good thing I found a site that discusses more about it so I’m going to read through it more so we can already have a solution to this concern. Need to get back to the tenant on how to resolve it. We don’t want to be bragged as a bad lessor who doesn’t care at all.

Can you imagine the soaring prices of gasoline at this time? Its unimaginable! Been researching on ways on how to save on gas and learned that having your tires in right gauge is actually one way to minimize gas consumption. I should have my car checked all the time in gasoline station, or I can just buy those portable digital tire gauge which is very handy. I also realized that I don’t have a flashlight on my car which is an essential tool especially during emergencies.
