We have been thinking to convert the guest room to a den. The husband have been contemplating to make the guestroom a video room. He plans to buy a new Samsung HDTV to complete the setup plus the corresponding home theater system. In fact, we are also have been looking for nice couches since December. Although, I am not quite sure if its a good idea to totally give up the guestroom, the husband prefers to have a den so he could watch his favorite movies during the weekends.
It’s indeed a great 2009…
We moved to the new house, a realization of a dream!
The husband did very well with his job. Kudos to him! He ended the year with flying colors!
I had a good number and quality accounts for my business.
The kids were safe and healthy despite having flu once in a while.
We had a number of celebrations with friends.
We had two out-of-the-country trips (HK and Guam).
And most of all, our family is complete and united. There are so many things to remember for 2009 and I just can’t count them in my fingers.
Life is happiness!!!
Now, I claim that 2010 would even be better!!!
Have a fantastic new year everyone!!!

happening in the house tomorrow and on Saturday, I have asked the househelps to do general cleaning of the house. I even asked them to scrub all metal tiles in the dirty kitchen as well as clean all glass windows. I have asked them to polish the wood on all furnitures and vaccuum the fabrics as well. They would also scrub the garage tomorrow as that would be our back-up venue in case it rains in the evening. But I really hope it would be a good weather. Glad, the household helps are not complaining. They shouldn’t right?
the garden area has been our regular activity every afternoon. I have been tending to the garden for the past couple of weeks. Still, I feel like there’s something lacking in there. I want to buy more plants and add some orchids perhaps. We are still growing the grass actually. I am taking gardening as a new found hobby. A new found activity aside from doing some running around the village every afternoon. Well, these activities could add up to my plan to really lose weight, otherwise, I might compelled myself to take those diet pills already if I don’t lose weight soon.
And look how funny the kids were when Dicky was trying to water the grass…

So how good could it get? This is one of my birthday gifts! My L-shape office table arrived already yesterday. PLDT DSL already installed as well. And I am happy that my airport express was working so our house is now wi-fi! Ah, gone are the days when I have to work in the garage area just to get a good signal using the smart-bro! I am a happy camper now working on this home office. I’m inspired! Hihihi. But I am thinking that I still need to get a new light fixtures to make the room cozier.
Yes, we had a simple house blessing last saturday. My relatives went to the house for dinner after. We just fetched the priest from the chapel at 4pm so we can proceed with the ceremony. We did the tradition of showering of coins all throughout the house. We had a great time sharing our new home with family and relatives.
Sunday, we had dinner with relatives of Dicky on the other hand. Too bad that the garden/lawn area is not yet fixed so that means we would have another celebrations (this time with friends) probably by June when everything is set already. I have been thinking to put up gazebos, lol!
Here are some pictures last saturday…
Sunday pics…
but happy!!! So sorry, I cannot afford to post pictures yet as I am preparing for another party tonight.
We had a simple house blessing yesterday. In fact, we were just very few during the blessing itself. Just my immediate family as our guests and then my cousins and aunts came in after to have dinner with us. Later night would be the side of my husband’s family. Everyone loves the house, the modernity, the fixtures and furnitures. We are overwhelmed with their compliments. And I am also overwhelmed with the comments that I’m slimmer now! Yahoo! That’s great news cause atleast we don’t need to but any new fitness equipment anymore. Also I got my haircut already. I am happy with a shorter hair. I will try to post pictures next time as I already need to hit the kitchen for my cooking!!!
finally!!! After 7 years of hardwork, patience and sacrifice! It was all worth the wait for the place we call OUR OWN, OUR HOME!!!
We finally moved to the dreamhouse last sunday morning. We arrived there at 6am, almost in time for sunrise. (so notice the kids are still in their PJs!) Had a great breakfast and so far the kids are enjoying our stay.
There are still some stuff to fix but we are almost settled!
It’s feels so great to be home sweet home!
HOME SWEET HOME, VERY VERY SOON!
I can’t believe we are almost moving, very very soon actually. Let’s just say, we are just counting the days. It looks better now from the picture above. In fact, furnitures are in. But I reserving the pictures for ourselves for a while. I’m savoring every bit of it. (lol!) The lawn will be finished as well within this week. So I am pretty busy next week for a lot of packing and arranging. I’m almost complete with kitchen utensils. I just need to complete minor items for the bathroom. Would you believe that I’m buying mostly new items even for my skin care products? Talking about vanity! Hahaha. I would love to use new ones with my new vanity table and a very nice master’s bathroom, which should be for our eyes only for the meantime! Can’t wait to be sleeping soundly in the new bed! These are what you call heavenly bliss! Thank God for all his blessings!
I was exhausted the whole of last week since we were very busy in furnishing the house. Packing, packing and packing. Then cleaning and cleaning and cleaning. It feels like there’s no end to it. I think I won’t need any best diet pills because I have lost about 5lbs already. Oh, I am pretty sure it was all worth it. The dreamhouse is now liveable. Furnitures are already there last friday. Some appliances were delivered already. But let me share some pics first of how did it look like a week before all the deliveries…
It looks totally different now. I’m reserving other pics for the meantime. We are doing a lot of cleaning again this week and more furnishings as well. And believe me, I’m going nuts with all the expenses. We are waiting for the final site development (the gates, the walls) so we can readily move. Can’t wait also for the lawn to be fixed!
I just can’t get over the updates from the dreamhouse. As I said previously, we are just counting the weeks. The husband said he wants to move as soon as possible. I don’t know how can I manage to do packing up all our stuff and at the same time working on buying new items, plus I also have 4 events to go for this month!
Anyway, for the latest updates…
Wood Parquet flooring for the second floor….

Last week, the high ceiling windows look like this:
Yesterday, as I went to the site, this is what I saw…
All glass windows are being placed already. Cabinets are being fixed as well. In fact, that was the reason why I went to the site, to meet with the aunt and decide on the cabinet divisions. Apparently, the closet area is still not enough for all our stuff including clothes, bags and shoes. So I guess, we will be utilizing the guestroom cabinets as well. We also finalized the items included for customized furnitures. We made some revisions as we also wanted two tv stands to be customized in design.
is the commitment of the workers to finish the dreamhouse. My gawd! That’s too soon already and we haven’t done any packing yet from our current place. We are just too busy also to check out appliances and furnishings for the house. Our heads are turning for the tremendous expenses. Anyhow, we just want to splurge for the best out there since its for the dreamhouse. This is our own, a place we call “Our Home.” Last weekend, I was able to go to the SM Homeworld sale in Megamall. Please do not ask how much I spent there since I bought about 3 comforter sets, 5 bedsheet sets, new down pillows, and new teflon pans. But these are all at 50% off so I guess its a better deal anyway (justifying!!!) Then I saw one theater seating couch in one of the home-theater store in the mall. I particularly like a black couch like a Berkline which I saw online. This could be perfect for our room. I’m sure the husband would be glad. But that can wait until his birthday on June.
Gee, counting now the days till we finally be moving!
They are finishing all the ceilings of the 2nd floor and the ground floor. They are now working on the primer paint inside and out. Next week, the workers would start laying down the tiles in the comfort rooms. Granite tiles were also ordered for the flooring. They would also start assembling the glass windows. And starting next month, they would start the site development, meaning the perimeter walling of the entire lot. We decided to proceed in developing the lot next to us. We would already consider putting up the lawn and working on the landscaping of it, although that would cost a fortune again! We wanted it an-all go anyway. The husband is actually excited for it. He was telling me that he could already play his slot cars with our nephews in that lawn area.
Latest pics of the dreamhouse:
A number of progress can be seen from the last time we went in the construction site. In fact, I missed posting some of it. Nevertheless, we are on track and on right schedule. We are now very busy finalizing furnishings, getting measurements for the appliances we would get. Decisions were made and finalized for all custom-made furnitures which we ordered. It would take 45days for the furniture-maker to do everything for the living room, dining room and master’s bedroom. At first, we wanted to just get those ready made furnitures, but we cant seem to find the right ones when we went to the mall. If there are few pieces that we wanted, we were very suprised with its cost. Aside from that, our interior designer (our aunt) suggested that we should just get custom-made furnitures. Everything in the house will be thematic. We are almost there. Can’t just wait to see the final things and stuff! Hope I can find time to share the sketches too.
We were deciding before if we would get wall fountains for the small foyer area. But then we just decided to use a big mirror on top of a foyer table. Even this one would be custom-made. As I am very particular with the color of the wood to use.
Some updates that I would like to share…

1. Staircase almost compelete. We changed the ones from the architectural plan of using steel bars, instead we opted to close it up.
2. We felt that it would be more “modern look.”
3. We also realized that it would also be safer for the kids, so they won’t climb up on steel bars (hmm, knowing my kids especially).
4. This is exactly what will be our view from the master’s bedroom. The view is just so comforting, especially that there are still no houses on our left. (and the garden would be on this side)
5. About 2 weeks ago, we were so happy to see the complete roof trusses.
6. Last week, roof insulations inside were done.
Now, this was the look of the dreamhouse when we saw it last weekend.
Yipee! We are just so close to be coming home to the dreamhouse. I heard, they are starting finishings inside the house, like painting the second floor. Last thursday, we already chose the sinks, the showers, faucets and toilet bowls to use. We really just can’t wait!!!
crazy week. Have been neglecting to update my blogs and also have not been abreast on what has been happening with my blog friends. Sorry as I am EXTREMELY BUSY! It is even an understatement. Business matters were just tremendous. Well, this means that 2009 has a good start on me. I just need to manage time wisely. And dreamhouse construction has been on its high gear. Weekends are occupied in canvassing around for furnishings and finishing materials so as meeting with the aunt, who happens to be an interior designer. This week, we would need to decide already on wood flooring for the second floor. A number of things have been revised from the original architectural plan. But we enjoy every bit of the house planning. Sketches from the interior designer are being finalized. Would love to share those here soon. For the meantime, I just need to get a quick nap as I have been sleeping for like 5 hours only maximum every night since I always work late nights for pending paperworks. Oh, been thinking to get a personal assistant already! Let’s see…
A break from a traumatic event that happened to my cousins, would just like to share the latest updates with the dreamhouse.
1. Staircase is complete. They would just need to polish it.
2. Trusses for the roof. They were putting it last week. We hope to see it completed this weekend.

Tomorrow, after getting some Christian books for Margaux’s assignment on Monday, we will again go check the dreamhouse. So expect more updates from the ever-excited me!
before christmas, exactly December 23 when we received the best christmas ever! The landtitle of the lot next to the dreamhouse was cleared and transferred already to our names.
2008 is indeed a great year! God is so good to us. We are grateful everyday for all His blessings.
We welcome 2009 with great faith and belief in Him!
God Bless us all!
Here’s the latest update with the dreamhouse. Workers were there until mid afternoon of 31st. They had a simple christmas party last 24th and we gave them something to bring home to their families last 24th and 31st. We look forward to the everyday progress.
I think we eventually need to cut off those Fig trees infront of the house. Next week, they are going to work on the trusses of the roof already. If you look closely, they are starting to work on “palitada” of the walls of the second floor.
I wonder up to what number will be this dreamhouse update? lol!
Anyway, we were so amazed on what we saw last weekend…
Wow, there are walls already. We were just so happy. We even went up to the second floor since they completed the flooring there already. We were able to visualize the size of the rooms, the comfort rooms and even the walk-in closet! Hahaha. I was giddy happy to see everything falling into place. The interior designer who happens to be our aunt was also there. We were planning already the orientation of the beds, the cabinets, and even the flat screen TVs! There were minor changes. It is actually expected all throughout the construction. I can’t believe that we need to decide on something almost every week. It is actually in accordance on how we plan the interior of the dreamhouse. That’s is basically an advantage since the contractor and the interior designer is a tandem team. The workers were not just putting things based on what has been designed by the architect, they were even considering the aesthetic inputs of the interior designer. We know exactly now where to put some paintings and even included a provision for aircon system at the ground floor. Since in no time, they would do some finishing, we are encouraging the contractor to get the workers their personal accident insurance already and hope that we won’t need any Lexington personal injury lawyer or whatsoever.
For the meantime, here are some more pictures…
4 more months!
