It feels just like yesterday. We are celebrating our 10th year wedding anniversary on this beautiful island. This is our tropical escapade. We finally set our feet in Lagen Island, El Nido Palawan. The place is so serene. It is so relaxing. Husband and I are really having the time of our lives here. Perfect scenery, sumptuous food (buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner), island hopping, beautiful room which no disturbances. You cannot see any corner tv stands as there is really no TV or DVD inside the room.  It makes you appreciate more the beauty of the place.  Here are some pictures of our room..

Oh well, what’s new? It almost May already, I can’t believe how months are passing by so fast. The husband is pretty busy too with his work as he is working on some projects with ITIL Resources. He has been going for some out-of-town trips often lately.  Since we got from the US, work is taking its toll on us plus the fact that we are also on the way.  But our 10th year wedding anniversary is just around the corner so we are looking forward for our quick getaway soon.

It was a fun activity. We witnessed a number of dragon dances/parade and of course we did some serious food tripping!
I enjoyed most the latter part. We also went to meet a feng shui master so we can determine the amulets we need for this year. I bought my lucky bracelet as well as few amulets/charms to place to my bag. I also got coins to put in my wallet all the time.

I am planning to send a holiday gift baskets to some of relatives based abroad. There are yummy gift baskets from berries.com and it’s so enticing, I want to order for myself. It would be a great centerpiece for our Christmas dinner. For the meantime, I need to finish my list already so I can be ready to hit the stores by November.

We are off to 4 different parties. Yes, read it right,  4! ;) We are attending 2 birthday parties on Saturday and a Baptism and a Housewarming party on Sunday. Good thing I already bought the gifts for the 2 birthday parties. I will just be bringing cake for the housewarming party and will quickly pass by the mall to get a christening gift before we head out to the venue on Sunday lunch time. I wonder where I could get something like this?


That is a very cute cuddling mat! Saw it from Red Envelope website. I hope there is something one in the store too as I failed to order online :(

On the other hand, I love the recent quality times I have with my family. My weekends are not so full of events so I can take the time on my hands. I know I should really take advantage as the peak seasons are coming over by month of September. So even if it’s a busy weekend, it’s one well-spent weekend with the family.

How happy I could be that I married the perfect man for me. I know there is no such thing as “perfect” especially in the context of marriage but for me, in my own connotation, in my own marriage, I have a happy married life.  I am happy that I have the right person beside me for the past 9 years of blissful celebration of our wedding, I am still head over heals to the man I said “I do!”

We already had an advance celebration last weekend where the two of us went to Tagaytay and enjoy the very fine accommodation in Discovery Country Suites. Our saturday last weekend started by having a late lunch in Bawai’s Restaurant. Read through a number of blogs how good the vietnamese food on this restaurant. We made a right choice. After which, our stay in the Nara room of DCS was a very relaxing experience. The whole weekend was spent talking about what have transpired to our marriage, to our family and our plans for the future, our dreams and goals in life. With another decade coming along our way, we are very excited on what the next few years still hold for us. We hope we can achieve all our dreams for the family most especially for our children.

From our family to yours…

We did some family bonding since Holy Wednesday. The husband and I went to Tagaytay Highlands as he actually played golf. Holy Thursday was spent by our traditional visita iglesia. We had a reunion with my relatives last Good Friday. Then we checked-in yesterday (Black Saturday) in Edsa Shangri-la Hotel. The kids had a blast as usual as they enjoyed the pool very much. They will join the Easter Jungle Celebration today here in the said hotel.

Holy week is indeed a great time to reflect on the goodness of our Lord. It is time not only to repent for our sins but also to be grateful for all the blessings we have. My family is my biggest blessing!

We were all taking about how to lose weight including those quicktrim reviews and how to keep ourselves healthy. The discussions were brought about after learning that one of our friends had to undergo bypass surgery at a very young age of 38 years old. It made all of us scared!  But that night was not totally spared because we had a great meal which I ordered from a good caterer. Everyone raved about the food! :D
