Finally, the MMDA is implementing the No Smoking Policy in the whole of Metro Manila. For those smokers, time to finally just try the e cig instead. ;) Note that even smoking inside your own vehicle is prohibited.

For those of you who would like to know more information about this policy RA9211…here’s an excerpt:

In addition, the sign or not posted shall include a warning about the health effects of direct or secondhand exposure to tobacco smoke. Non-smoking areas shall likewise have at least one (1) legible and visible sign, namely: “NO SMOKING AREA” or “NO SMOKING”.

Here are the fines and penalties:

MMDA FINES AND PENALTIES

Second Offense: P1,000 to P5,000
Third Offense: P5,000 to P10,000

I have been reading up this blog of Fashion Pulis that puts up articles of blind items on some celebrities. The blog is actually entertaining and I find the comments hilarious actually. In fact, I recently read that there is this popular actress who actually availed of a residential rehab treatment facility. I have some clues on it might be but I would just reserve my comments for myself. But it also saddens me that it has come to the point of drug rehabilitation for that actress. She has totally lost her career. I hope she can really try to detox herself and vouch that she won’t take drugs again so she can regain back her popularity. Besides, she’s really a good one actress anyway.

is so freaking hot today! Gosh, I felt like sweating like there is no tomorrow!

This year, summer in Manila is coming too late towards end of April to May! It wasn’t this hot last month. I now take a bath no less than thrice a day! Yes, morning, mid-day and before retiring to bed! And oh the kids, I don’t let them play outside anymore. I can imagine the surge of our electricity bill this month! We barely turn off the air-conditioning system.

With the peak of this summer, I wonder and somehow fear how’s the rainy season gonna be. Mother Nature has been up to something nowadays. I hope it won’t be a dreaded rainy season on the other hand.

It’s strange and it’s frightening after the series of natural calamities that have happened recently. I can’t believe what I saw from CNN news during the tsunami in Japan yesterday! I immediately called the house and gave specific instructions to the house helps on what to do in case they experience an earthquake. I was still out of the house when that happened. Some precautions were released that the other countries within the rim of pacific ocean were included in the alert level. I told the maids to get out of the house in case something happens. They have to turn off the main switch of the electricity in the house including the outdoor lighting. I also specified not to panic and keep the kids within their eyes all the time. At this time, all we could do is to pray hard that our nation and families will be safe all the time. God is bigger than all of us so we should have full faith in Him. We need to pray harder.

The husband is in search of an Executive Assistant. Apparently, he still cannot find the perfect match to his requirement. I told him to post a job listing online. He might find someone who can apply from there. I know of a friend who owns a construction firm and have been getting his construction employment from construction job force website. He said it is an effective site to actually get the right candidates for his job openings. Any site you could recommend for my husband to post his executive assistant requirement?

It’s already March 1 and it is supposed to be the start of summer in the country. But why is it raining? The weather had gone bonkers. Instead of flip flops, could I be looking for women’s rain boots ? I am kinda worried with what nature has been bringing to the world. There is a worst winter in cold countries, then flash floods to continents down under. There are earthquakes in New Zealand also lately. What is happening? I hope nature will get back to it’s normal course and that we will get to enjoy summer in a few.

My friends and I were laughing our hearts out while we make stories about different issues.  One friend even mention about what she found out in the news today about a secure cure for herpes?  We were kidding her that she could be more interested to it because of a certain issue.  I know it could be a serious thing to talk about but we just can’t help but speculate about our friend.   I hope though there could really be a new medicine for it already.

If you haven’t heard about the juicy gossip about John Lloyd Cruz and Shaina Magdayao then you are missing a lot. I don’t want to detail the story here so if you are reading this and still have no clue then google it, lol! I wonder if the side effects of extenze have worked with John Lloyd. It could be the reason why it happened. But it was such an embarrassing situation if it’s really true, which a number have confirmed, you know how showbiz news could be, and I pity Shaina for that matter.

Never realized that as a seaman, a longshoreman or even just a harbor worker of shipyard worker, they are entitled to rights when injured or even get sick while on board their vessels. I should mention it to relatives who are seafarers. I recently met a Jones Act lawyer through an acquittance. We had a little chat over coffee as he explains to me his job. He has been helping a number of seamen and their families in getting proper compensations and settlements after their maritime claims. He is currently in the country to help a family of a very good friend.

It was a well-spent weekend with the family.  Two days of just plain fun of being together, eating, watching TV/DVD and even played some board games and outdoor games like badminton.  Kids went swimming this morning.  Read a book and heard mass too.

Now back home and tired already.  Husband and kids are now sound asleep.

Looking forward to a brand new week.  Good thing, I got recharged.  It’s a busy coming week.

Hope everyone had a great weekend too.

Every fantasy you have ever had could be fulfilled with fun games like Heist Online, or Jewel Quest, where you have the opportunity to be the craven looter or the police officer you’ve always wanted to be! Online games allow you to live a rich fantasy life, and meet new people from across the globe who share your interests. For these reasons, online gaming has become exponentially more popular each year.

Allow yourself to spend a few hours on a planet where aliens use humans as fuel and you are the only one who can save the race. Envision yourself as a brain-hungry zombie that wants to consume the remaining population of healthy people. You could be the zombie one day, and the zombie hunter the next, playing great games like Plants vs. Zombies! Online games are so much fun that you may never want to leave home, again!

If you enjoy action-packed films like Sherlock Holmes, then you will love games like Midnight Mysteries — The Edgar Allan Poe Conspiracy. Whatever your interests are, there are games that will enchant you on great online game sites. Even the nerdiest types can find games like BookWorm Deluxe to keep them entertained on those long, boring summer days.

More typical games, like Vegas Solitaire, can provide everyone a new venue for an old pleasure. Play the classics like Chess, Mah Jong, and word scramble games, without ever leaving home. The greatest part of playing games online is that you needn’t invite over a houseful of friends to enjoy a variety of players: you can simply log-on and play your favorite games with strangers. Or, if you prefer, you can arrange to meet your friends on a website to play games together. So, whether you enjoy new games, or the classics your grandparents know, you can find entertainment and fun online!

Yipee! It is long weekend again this coming week and next week again. May 3 declared as non-working holiday in lieu of the labor day celebration of May 1. And next week, it would be another long weekend since it is already election day. Speaking of election day, have you guys decided on who to vote? I think we should really take time to review the credentials and the characters of these candidates. And as for the automated voting system, let’s give it a chance. Let’s not be too negative yet about it and just pray that everything would work well without any flaws. Our country doesn’t need any negativism at this time. Let’s ask for God’s guidance for our people to vote wisely. Let’s pray for our nation.

The agencies involved have actually made necessary precautions anyway. My husband’s company is one of the telecommunications provider for COMELEC. In fact, he would also be on-call duty all throughout that day. Let us also pray for everyone’s safety.

is so busy but I still haven’t finished like half of the things I would have to do. It’s always crazy during mondays. With tons of emails to answer, lots of follow ups for the next upcoming event and some other personal errands to do. The husband is also bugging to do a couple of things for him. Hmm, I’m like his secretary. Like, he wants me to review insurances. Thanks to a site where I can just get multiple term life insurance rates and quotes by just inputting our desired coverage amount and term. Now, I am one task done for him. Got few more errands to do for him tomorrow. What a job!

With just few weeks before the national election, have you decided on who to vote? Candidates are all geared up with their campaigns. There are debate forums also being organized to look into the profiles of the candidates. I find some of the candidate’s answers in forums questionable and debatable. I wonder if we could create a local platform like the doesthiscount site just for the Philippine election, lol! It is were posts are meant to be succinct, humorous and thought-provoking. Well most comments are intended to enable a real conversation. Usually votes settle the debate. But as for me, I am actually more concerned about the candidates profiles and plans for the country. I have my own picks already.

Berry Strawberry

It is freaking hot! And I so want this. Selecta Gold Berry Strawberry. Too bad, we don’t have any ice cream in the fridge at this time. I guess I need to hit the groceries later. But should I just forego as my lenten sacrifice for the week? I think it would be a good idea though. I hope I can resist temptation, lol! ;)

Never do I go for any destination without the famous “jumping shots!” It’s my favorite actually. In fact, I lost another 5lbs after a number of takes. It’s indeed a good option for quick trim extreme burn. We just did some jumping shots while in Thunderbird Resorts. It’s hard to perfect it sometime that all of you would have to be up in the air but I was able to take two nice shots…

My parents would renovate their house next year because they were badly hit by the recent storms that touched the country. They would replace their bathrooms including the existing faucets and sinks. Told my mom to just use Toto sink since it has been proven to be a good brand.  It would be costly to renovate but it is really needed.  But anyway, we look forward for a better house for them.

There’s a number of advertisements already in TV and print ads for the forthcoming election next year. All presidentiables are presenting already their plans for the country. I wonder which one would really pose to be a great candidate. One consideration for the youth in voting the right president is one that would consider programs on how to solve the problem on drug addiction. According to the researches from national institute of drug abuse, this problem is global in phenomenon. That’s why, reliable and effective drug rehab like those in Florida should be also be a considered project of the next president. Since the youth has been the driving force of the country today, paying much attention to them, next to providing their employement is entirely needed.

No electricity again!!!! Grrrr!!!!

Too many things to do…too many tasks to finish!

Now, I am torn whether to just sleep (but it’s freaking hot! aw!) or I am thinking if I should do some camping again in the nearby coffee shop!!! Its the same thing that happened yesterday. Oh no, 3 cups of coffee again for the rest of the day!!!

are working as of this writing!  I hope Pepeng won’t hit us hard!

But still be safe everyone!

Some relief operations are cancelled today due to the expected arrival of Pepeng.  Hopefully, it could all resume tomorrow.  Filipinos became vigilant because of what happened last weekend (read:  a lot did some panic buying of grocery items too!)

Last night, I came from a wedding.  It was only a 40minutes drive from Alabang to our place.  Quite suprising that I arrived home quickly. Gladly it was a safe journey.  All roads are passable.  In fact, there were very few cars on the road at 1030pm.  It is indeed suprising for a friday night especially that I passed C5 road.  Well, learned that most offices had an early knock-off at 3pm yesterday and almost everyone went home to secure their families.

Hope the weather continues to be just as subtle as it can.  We’ve been hearing some loud hovering of winds within our area since there are lots of trees in our street but the rain is not as bad as Ondoy.

I’m pretty sure the Lord and our dear Mama Mary would embrace us against this Super Typhoon. Let’s continue to pray hard!
