We are on our 9th year already today! How happy I could be that I married the perfect man for me. I know there is no such thing as “perfect” especially in the context of marriage but for me, in my own connotation, in my own marriage, I have a happy married life.  I am happy that I have the right person beside me for the past 9 years of blissful celebration of our wedding, I am still head over heals to the man I said “I do!”

We already had an advance celebration last weekend where the two of us went to Tagaytay and enjoy the very fine accommodation in Discovery Country Suites. Our saturday last weekend started by having a late lunch in Bawai’s Restaurant. Read through a number of blogs how good the vietnamese food on this restaurant. We made a right choice. After which, our stay in the Nara room of DCS was a very relaxing experience. The whole weekend was spent talking about what have transpired to our marriage, to our family and our plans for the future, our dreams and goals in life. With another decade coming along our way, we are very excited on what the next few years still hold for us. We hope we can achieve all our dreams for the family most especially for our children.

Great 9 years of married life! Happy anniversary to my Babes!

the husband never fails to give me flowers on Valentine’s Day. I admit, I still get the same “kilig” moment. He has been like this ever since. I have experienced being showered with flowers when he was courting me. I remember, there was one valentine’s day when he sent me a dozen of flowers three times that day. Yes, so that was 3 dozens all in all.  All of my colleagues back then were wowed with his gesture.  He’s the sweetest! Thanks Babes for these!

The husband is moving company already and was so touched when his former colleagues, particularly his staff made way to prepare a surprise despedida party for him in the house last week. They coordinated things with me so I was in-charged of ensuring that he comes home in time. They prepared everything even the food, and had a simple program. Each one of them honored him and gave him a special gift. Lol, of course, no one gave him a myonox. The gifts were clear representation of the husband to them. Few gave books about leadership, others gave something he can use in his new office. It was a great gesture from these people. I am sure the husband will surely be missed.

The husband has some available openings for tech jobs for his department under his new company. He is actually asking me for some recommendations. Told him to check out online resources for possible applicants. I’m pretty excited that the husband is finally moving to a new venture. It’s time for him to slow down a bit with work and enjoy life as I told him. It is also time for him to get fit.  I am glad too that he is finally seriously considering it.

The husband had his birthday party at home from friends from his former company. We were all taking about how to lose weight including those quicktrim reviews and how to keep ourselves healthy. The discussions were brought about after learning that one of our friends had to undergo bypass surgery at a very young age of 38 years old. It made all of us scared!  But that night was not totally spared because we had a great meal which I ordered from a good caterer. Everyone raved about the food! :D

We welcomed with open arms the arrival of our new baby. We consider it actually as our “baby boy.” My husband was of course very excited. He has been planning to get this one since late last year but we have delayed it a bit. I always believe that it is sweeter when you have patience. We have finally decide on the name. It would be called “Reno.” It was the husband who chose that one. I can’t contradict him for that. He wants to remember the fondest memory we had while we were in US. We really had a great time in Reno, Nevada actually.

It was baptized already last sunday. We are enjoying this new baby so much. I’m now thinking to plan to have a quick getaway somewhere nearby, let’s see.

Yes, the husband is back to SB (South Beach Diet). It’s a rush thing as he is already losing on our bet! lol! He is even considering those diet pills that work he read over the internet so he wants us to check tomorrow if those are available in our local drugstores. But I am surprised that he lost few pounds already for just 2 days? Hmmm, in less than a week, we would know the final verdict. Who is the biggest loser and who will win the biggest prize?

seem long enough if you weren’t living it happily, but it was a bliss of dreams that were all achieved with the love of your life. And it becomes more exciting if you two are on the same page on your journey through life. Thanks Babes  for all the love and respect. I have indeed married a great man. We have built happy memories together for us and our kids to remember and together, I am still looking forward to be beside you on what tomorrow has in store for us!

The husband has been requesting me that we watch Iron Man 2 on it’s first showing day. Apparently, it was a busy week so we failed to do so. We heard a lot of good reviews about the movie and after seeing some eye-catching pop displays as well in Eastwood Cinema, I am pretty sure that the film is a hit to movie goers. We are watching tomorrow night instead after putting the kids to sleep. I look forward to it. It’s movie date night with the husband ;)

last night but I’ve got the best eye cream for dark circles so I am safe. I have put on some already. I waited for the husband to come home last night which was very late already. But so happy he is back home after two nights of being away. I really don’t think I can be an OFW wife, ;) lol! I just can’t. I really look up to those who are on those situation because I know how hard it is to be away from family.

Now, off for a wedding in Tagaytay…

Yipee! It is long weekend again this coming week and next week again. May 3 declared as non-working holiday in lieu of the labor day celebration of May 1. And next week, it would be another long weekend since it is already election day. Speaking of election day, have you guys decided on who to vote? I think we should really take time to review the credentials and the characters of these candidates. And as for the automated voting system, let’s give it a chance. Let’s not be too negative yet about it and just pray that everything would work well without any flaws. Our country doesn’t need any negativism at this time. Let’s ask for God’s guidance for our people to vote wisely. Let’s pray for our nation.

The agencies involved have actually made necessary precautions anyway. My husband’s company is one of the telecommunications provider for COMELEC. In fact, he would also be on-call duty all throughout that day. Let us also pray for everyone’s safety.

Yes, our Wedding Anniversary is coming up soon. We would be celebrating our 8th year this coming May 4.  No definite plans yet as to where we are spending it since the husband still needs to go to work that day.  It’s a Tuesday actually.  I’m on reviews of fine dining restaurants that we haven’t tried.  Since we are on a diet, a buffet in a hotel would definitely be out.  Yes, we usually go to Peninsula Manila (where we had our wedding reception) for a dinner buffet, but this time we would like to try something different.  Any suggestions?  If all my research fail and if should i not find confidence on the recommended restaurants, I am sure Le Souffle Rockwell would always be a good choice.  It’s been a while since we last ate there too anyway.

Our home edition would officially start on April 5! ;) Yeah, the husband and I made a deal to go on a bet to lose weight seriously. When I say serious, it means it comes with a prize at stake as to whoever between us would win the competition. lol! ;) We need to lose at minimum 10% of our current weight after a month. We would try to do all means on our own without cheating. I am so determined to lose weight so I may not eat anymore starting Monday, lol! :P I am dead set to win either a new bag (wink!) or some loose diamonds for a new pair of earrings! (wee!) But kidding aside, the prize would be healthier and longer life. It would be for our kids. Wish us luck!

I finally convinced the husband to spend for himself, lol!, as he deserves something great. He has a set budget already and have been thinking to get some of his options: new home theater system, wii, xbox 360 or an iPhone. Glad he chose the iPhone. A good friend offered to get it from the US and bring it with her in time for her arrival on friday here in Manila. I’m pretty excited so I am even going to pick her up in the airport. Got it at a very good deal compared to prices here in Manila. And glad that he agreed to get the 32g of the 3gs so we can load more movies and songs from iTunes!  Do you notice that I’m the one more excited about this new gadget? lol!

It’s indeed a great 2009…

We moved to the new house, a realization of a dream!
The husband did very well with his job. Kudos to him!  He ended the year with flying colors!
I had a good number and quality accounts for my business.
The kids were safe and healthy despite having flu once in a while.
We had a number of celebrations with friends.
We had two out-of-the-country trips (HK and Guam).

And most of all, our family is complete and united. There are so many things to remember for 2009 and I just can’t count them in my fingers. ;)  Life is happiness!!!

Now, I claim that 2010 would even be better!!!

Have a fantastic new year everyone!!!

Today is monday and tons of work are awaiting on my desk. It’s the ber months so I am expecting to be doubly busy. Also, I need to make a research about short term health insurance NC for my aunt who is based in North Carolina as she is asking for my help regarding it. But before I get back to work, I would like to share the good news that the husband lost 10lbs already in just 6 days!!! Thanks to South Beach Diet! He started Monday of last week. He actually told me not to ask him anymore about it and just go and order it so he won’t have a choice if his food would be delivered already in the office. He weighed last saturday and was very happy to see the results! He is still on his way to lose more pounds but I think he is getting there! I plan to keep him on 1st phase of this diet for atleast a month! Gladly, he is happy as well with the food and starting to make conscious effort to follow the regimen.

It’s a brand new day. Although I am still sleepy but I am glad that I got some Medifast coupons online this morning. It’s a great treat for me! Husband is now seriously taking his diet plan so I should also support him or say the least follow? Will see how it is progressing on him and I might start with my diet plan as well by next week. Need to get fit before we hit the beach again this November!

we spent most of the days lounging around the house.  I did a number of cooking after I went to the market last saturday.  Then I finished some writing assignments as well so I was glued to the internet.  I must admit, I also did some online shopping since Christmas is also just around the corner.  I’m due to shop this week for the parties we would be attending in 2 weeks time including the MBAP advance christmas party.  I am also still due to post the wishlists of the kids.

But over the long weekend, the husband and I did some talking as well regarding our plans.  We sat down to review our starting objectives for the year and checked as to how we have fair with our goals as of this time.  We are happy to know that we are on the right track.  In fact, looks like we would really manage to get ourselves a nice christmas gift for the family.  We also have made initial plans for the year and even two years form now.  Well, aside from including travel plans, we are also toying with the idea of the husband taking an Online masters degree. His friend was actually taking one through Gonzaga University, which has been ranked as one of the best universities in the US, ranking numer 3 actually based on US News and World Report. It has also received recognitions by the Princeton Review and Forbes Magazine since it offers several masters degrees online without sacrificing the quality of education. They are known to be a premier choice for online programs since they value the time of professionals who cannot really attend physically to school because of professional and personal commitments.  Given these information, husband is highly considering taking on some masters degree online.  Got to do some more research about it.

Yes, the husband is moving office, not to a new company but to a new office building.  Their office is moving much farther to our place now.  The husband is asking me to reseach on designs of office furniture since the mancom members were given free hand to decide on what they want for their individual rooms. He said he would have a bigger room this time, almost double the size on what he currently has on their office so he wants to have a separate reception area inside.  I actually emailed him already this morning few layouts and styles I have seen online. They are quite appropriate for a bigger space. I am recommending a small conference table so he could already conduct some his team meetings inside the room.  He’s pretty excited with this move.

of the husband went very well. We checked-in last wednesday in St. Lukes and stayed there until thursday afternoon. We were given a nice suite. It was indeed for an executive. Aw! Too bad that I forgot to bring my camera. I wasn’t able to take a picture of the room complete with amenities. The room also has a free wi-fi!

The husband passed all tests in flying colors. Nothing to be worried about. Thank God! I’m very happy with the results since he’s very much healthy. Though of course he was asked to lose weight. He would go back again next week to get the official results.

Now, we gotta be working really to shed off those extra pounds.

Me, I spent quality time with the husband and the kids as I didn’t have any events and we just didn’t plan anything over the weekend. We just enjoyed lazing around the bedroom, quickly went to the mall last saturday so kids can play and buy few sale items.  We heard mass yesterday, run few miles around the village, then footspa and massage last night.

But I think I also gained 5lbs just over the weekend. I cooked a lot and also ate a lot. Bad!  Prepared Beef Tenderloin Chinese Style last saturday and pan-fried cream dory in light soy sauce yesterday. Yes, it was chinese cooking over the weekend! Also prepared banana cake and boiled sweet corn for merienda. We also had some left over chocolate cake and ice cream so all we had to do was eat while doing some DVD marathons.

The husband decided to have his executive medical check-up this week so today is the official start of his cleansing diet. Aside from colon cleanse reviews I have given him, he also would like to try other diets that he was able to research over the net. But of course all of it should still be consulted to his doctor. We would be checking in St Lukes Hospital this wednesday till thursday. I am going to camp with him in the room. I wish, they are going to give him a nicer room! ;)

Here’s to hoping that husband is fit and healthy aside from being slightly overweight!  gee!  :-<

was a good one.  Thanks to his friends who are mostly former officemates who joined us for his birthday celebration.  Thanks also to the good weather.  It was worth it to do the party outdoor.  I had to make sure that we sprayed on some citronella oils within the perimeters since mosquitoes and all other insects are not at all invited.  We had it catered again by Josiah’s (our fave) and as per his request, he wants mongolian grill to be part of the menu.  Guests mostly came between 7pm-8pm.  We had a good number of guests, almost everyone he was expecting arrived.  I can tell that the husband is a well-loved individual even if he has not been with the company for almost a year now.

After a sumptuous dinner, we trooped inside the house because it was air-conditioned.  They played poker until like 230am!  Everyone had fun!  And so as the husband since he also got nice presents from friends, including the new poker set, which they used right away!  It’s a better set than what we have currently.  I’m sure the husband would get more hooked on this game.

More than anything, it was with the company of good friends which made it really special for his  birthday celebration.
