Friends were asking me if I am taking weight loss pills because I am kinda losing weight! Woohoo! Though I am considering already but I am taking a different diet at this time. It is actually not a total diet formula but I am just watching my food intake now. I try to read labels and ensure that I would only take a maximum of 1300 calories a day. I still take coffee because I cannot do without in a day, still eat few sweets and even take 1 cup of rice every meal. 1 cup of rice is equivalent to 120 calories only. It’s actually the same thing like taking 3 slices of Skyflakes biscuits ;) yeah, that’s right! So I would rather take 1 cup of rice and a deck of cards size of viand be it pork, beef or chicken. See, it’s effective…you can now see my collar bone! Woot! Harharhar :P

She’s so cute on her Ms. Thailand costume which she wore during their Asian Book of Days.  Thanks to her Aunt Cindy who took time to get her this costume in Quiapo, since I cannot leave the house that time due to my sprained ankle.

All teachers commended her costume.  I was glad she actually wore it.  I was worried at first that she won’t even fit the head dress.  It was perfectly fit on her.

Yay! I hope my daughter Margaux won’t get this fat! ;) This is from Fat Kiosk application in my iPhone. I also tried it myself and I wasn’t very happy with how I look. I was even mortified when I tried with my husband! :P lol! No, I am not going to post his picture here. I think we would need to get a portable ecg machine if he gets 50lbs heavier. harharhar.

But I wouldn’t allow it to happen of course.  In fact, we are back to eating healthy.  We are practicing calorie counting. ;)

We love family travels. I love traveling with my girls and my dear husband. It is always refreshing to go to a nice place and spend some quality time with the whole family. It is just about rest and relaxation. We recently had one. Will talk about the trip more on another post. But talking about family travels makes me think about security as well. I think it is also important to consider like accident insurances. What do you think? It’s also a consideration to keep in mind a professional to run to in case something like an accident happens. I know there are lawyers who are actually known to be efficient on such job. Example is an Austin personal injury lawyer. These are lawyers who actually takes care of a case when you have been injured through negligence of another party. The known lawyers in Austin for example are the ones from O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath – Personal Injury Lawyers – who are located at 808 West Avenue, Austin, TX. 78701 – 512-494-9949. I know it is a group to keep in mind.

I cannot wait for the photo books I have ordered from Artscow. One of my favorite books that will arrive is the Sisters Forever I ordered. It contains beautiful pictures of my two girls. I hope they would both like it. I want to impart to them that they will indeed be sisters forever. I am hoping that my first batch of order will arrive by next week. That would be a happy treat for a busy mom like me. Now, for the meantime, let me finish my research on document imaging as I need it for my business.

A super late post about Varekai. The husband and I watched it last July 21. Glad we never failed to see it. It was a good decision to buy our tickets last minute since we even got a 10% discount through SM Advantage. The husband enjoyed the show very much. In fact, he said we should also watch another Cirque de Soleil show. I hope we could get to see one in Las Vegas by December. But the show tickets are just expensive. I wonder if we could squeeze on 4 tickets with our budget considering that we are also saving up for a lot of upcoming expenses including our pocket money and the Wholesale Insurance which we need to settle before we leave the country. Crossing-fingers! ;)

If you’re thinking that your home is already due for some renovations but putting it aside due to budget restrictions, fret no more as there are means on how you can get it done without spending too much. Home improvements need not to be expensive; you just have to be a smart shopper.

Do it yourself projects are often the best way to save on home renovations. Simple household tricks could also go a long way. If the room starts to smell or look old, consider removing the wallpaper and instead apply a few coats of fresh paint. Changing the colors of the walls could easily brighten a room.

Visit a home and garden store around your area and check for do it yourself kits for basic things around the house. Most kits are easy and quick to do. Try to get as much work done and leave the rest to professionals. For tasks like plumbing and electricity, you might need to seek the help of the experts.

An advice to those who are considering hiring a contractor: go for one that is versatile and around. This could save you a lot of money and would eliminate the need to hire multiple contractors to get the job done.  It will be best to set a limit on how much you are willing to spend. Prioritize the areas that need to be done first such as places where repairs are badly needed.

Before I read about the disability insurance which my aunt is asking me to review for her claim with Social Security System, let me share first the good news that the husband finally agreed to come and join for a quick getaway next week. Our family will be going to Cebu together with 4 other friends and their families. We are excited as it is our first out-of-town trip together. We will be staying in Shangri-la Mactan. I am sure the kids will have a blast. So we are all praying for a summer weather in the middle of the month of August.
