My girls are attending this year’s Trumpets Playshop. I have been wanting to send them both here since last year but we shelved the idea first since we went to the US. I am glad I was able to enroll them last weekend. They are both excited about it. Both of them will attend the Children’s Theater.

Children’s Theatre (4 – 6 years old)
Preschoolers are constantly moving. What better way than to channel their energies through music and movement. Music and movement gives preschoolers the opportunity to use their bodies to wiggle and dance. It also includes singing songs as they make transitions from one activity to another. Activities such as storytelling, games, art and instrument playing. Three times a week @ 1 ½ hours per session. Interactive Showcase at the end of the workshop

For more information about their summer programs, you may check here.

Thanks to data backup software which i got, I have secured all my files and even my photos from my macbook. Now, will just be bringing my iPad for the trip to Bangkok. Will be loading the pictures from the trip through my iPad. Such a reliable gadget to store all the memories. Since I just got the iPad about a couple of months back, I do not have intention of getting yet the new iPad2.  I would rather wait for the next generation perhaps.  For the meantime, I am very happy with my iPad.

I always keep my list of things to pack whenever I travel. I find everything in order if I follow that list. Tomorrow, I am leaving for Bangkok, Thailand with my friends. In my list, I have the following: Camera and battery charger, toiletries, hair straightening iron, wireless headphones, iPad and charger, iPhone charger, extra tote bag, sandals, rubber shoes and socks, and of course clothes and undergarments that can last me through the whole duration of my trip.

Isn’t cute? Thanks to my good friend Aggie for making it. It’s happening on their last day of school and it will done outdoor as they were really scheduled for a picnic. I prepared hats for everyone to wear while they will have a morning tea party. I’m an excited dotting mom again! I have the loot box already and will just need to buy items to put inside. I already ordered food and will just add up some cupcakes/donuts and drinks. Will post pictures next week.

It’s strange and it’s frightening after the series of natural calamities that have happened recently. I can’t believe what I saw from CNN news during the tsunami in Japan yesterday! I immediately called the house and gave specific instructions to the house helps on what to do in case they experience an earthquake. I was still out of the house when that happened. Some precautions were released that the other countries within the rim of pacific ocean were included in the alert level. I told the maids to get out of the house in case something happens. They have to turn off the main switch of the electricity in the house including the outdoor lighting. I also specified not to panic and keep the kids within their eyes all the time. At this time, all we could do is to pray hard that our nation and families will be safe all the time. God is bigger than all of us so we should have full faith in Him. We need to pray harder.

Cheers to all of us Women! It’s a good way to celebrate our feminism! This celebration started 100 years ago. I wonder if there’s also International Men’s Day and International Gay’s Day? Lol!

I wanted to blog already about our recent Boracay trip but please bear with me as I have so much work to do in my hands now. The kids are ending classes next week and so we are pretty busy preparing them for their annual stage play in school. I am also cramming for Margaux’s 6th birthday celebration in school by next week. Haven’t really prepared anything. Boo! Plus there are so much more to fix in the house. Summer is here so we got to prepare our “portable” swimming pool for the kids, lol! We are considering to build a water tank too in our backyard in preparation for summer heat plus the husband is asking me to check out an air compressor too. I totally have no clue why we need one. Anyway, any suggestions where I could check those out?

I know this has been a long overdue blog but here it is anyway.  I availed of the Shangri-la promo in Greenbelt 5 last September 2010.  I was able to get an accommodation voucher for Php22k for 3 days and 2 nights accommodation in the said resort.  I really had intentions of using it on a February during the Edsa Revolution Anniversary hoping that it will be a holiday.  Apparently, it wasn’t declared as a National Holiday so we just let the kids skip class then.

We took the 8am flight from Manila to Caticlan airport via Cebu Pacific.  I was with the two girls and one yaya.  The husband followed us the following day as he cannot miss his Mancom meeting on a Wednesday.  I am going to rave about our experience with Shangri-la Boracay Resorts and Spa.  We love the whole experience.  We love their service.

Upon arriving in the Caticlan airport, which by the way is being renovated (I really hope they improve the airport), we were received by a staff from the hotel.  We were immediately ushered to the van that will take us to their lounge in the jetty port.  They took care of our luggage.  We were then brought in their lounge and was greeted by a refreshing welcome drink.

After few minutes, we were asked to ride their speed boat.  It’s traveling in style to ride a speed boat going to the resort.  It was my 5th time to Boracay and it was my first time to ride a speed boat.  We always take those regular motorized boat which are rented by the resorts.  The kids had a blast with the ride!

After 20 minutes, we were already in the resort.  Their buggies are lined up waiting for the guests.  Every group were shuttled in the main lobby.  The check-in process was a breeze.  We were in the resort at 10am and we were very happy to be accommodated for an early check-in.  That’s another point for them. The room is very nice with a day bed outside. It has two big twin beds and we requested for an extra bed for the yaya. I love the comfort room.  With L’Occitane as their products.

The kids wants to go swimming right away.  So in no time, we were already enjoying the resort’s pool.  Their service is superb! A hotel staff will immediately offer you a bottle of water after just taking your plunge in the pool.

We just had room service for lunch and then the girls took their nap.  In the afternoon, we went to Chi Spa to join the fish feeding session. The kids went to the Adventure Zone after and stayed there for more than an hour.  The use of that facility is free of charge.

Our first day was a great experience already.  We looked forward for the arrival of the husband the following day.

Here are some pictures on our first day…

The husband is in search of an Executive Assistant. Apparently, he still cannot find the perfect match to his requirement. I told him to post a job listing online. He might find someone who can apply from there. I know of a friend who owns a construction firm and have been getting his construction employment from construction job force website. He said it is an effective site to actually get the right candidates for his job openings. Any site you could recommend for my husband to post his executive assistant requirement?

It’s already March 1 and it is supposed to be the start of summer in the country. But why is it raining? The weather had gone bonkers. Instead of flip flops, could I be looking for women’s rain boots ? I am kinda worried with what nature has been bringing to the world. There is a worst winter in cold countries, then flash floods to continents down under. There are earthquakes in New Zealand also lately. What is happening? I hope nature will get back to it’s normal course and that we will get to enjoy summer in a few.
