the whole family just trooped to Tagaytay. That was about two Saturdays ago. We just enjoyed the cool breeze of the place and stayed in an uncle’s house for the night. Of course, we did not miss having coffee in Starbucks there as we also took some photos along side the view deck. When you have kids already, you seldom take pictures of yourself with your husband. So this is one of those rare moments…

I particularly like this picture as it doesn’t show any trace of dark circles around my eyes. Thanks to the best eye cream I am using! lol!

Never realized that as a seaman, a longshoreman or even just a harbor worker of shipyard worker, they are entitled to rights when injured or even get sick while on board their vessels. I should mention it to relatives who are seafarers. I recently met a Jones Act lawyer through an acquittance. We had a little chat over coffee as he explains to me his job. He has been helping a number of seamen and their families in getting proper compensations and settlements after their maritime claims. He is currently in the country to help a family of a very good friend.

These are my two adorable girls now…

Bianca is turning 4 years old in almost 2 months from now, which reminds me, I need to prepare for her birthday party in school. Margaux on the other hand will be 6 years old in 7 months from now. No major party still for her on her 6th since we are preparing for her big birthday bash when she turns 7. Party themes are already playing in my mind. Don’t blame me as I am an event planner and I have to live up with it.

Although these girls still fight over some toys, and that I’m stressed whenever one of them would cry already because of it,  I would like to think that they are still the best of friends…

If you are a mom, are you already preparing for the Trick or Treat costume of your kids? I am actually. Last year, just got the girls the costume from SM department store since didn’t get the chance to really prepare for it. But i was still surprised that Margaux won 2nd place on the best costume. Now, I have been thinking and browsing the internet on what’s a nice costume this year for both of them. Some friends are looking at pirate costumes, animal costumes, career costumes all available at www.buycostumes.com. Might also get from there so I need to order already so I won’t rush for the shipping and the costumes could get here before the trick or treat events.

we are looking at, my friend pointed out about Small Business Financing. Since the new venture we are going to enter would require more investments, the idea of Business Financing could actually be a good option. It’s about an accounts receivable lending but is actually not a loan. In turn, it is just an advance or purchase of your receivables so no debts are created for the business. You can pay the loan as your customers pay their receivables. The accounts receivable could actually be the collateral. This is the whole idea of Business Finance seminar that my friend attended to the other day. Since we would have a new business, we would really be offering credit terms so we could actually get more clients. But of course, we need additional capital as well. So having this financial facility is actually good for those planning for business, like us, who will be venturing to another opportunity.

I still cannot divulge what business will it be but it would definitely be events related still. We are still in the process of reviewing all our feasibility study and making sure we can gear up that business with minimal risks. We would like to be assured of our capital return of course.

I know I haven’t been blogging recently. Pardon as I am really very busy to even sit down and write down my thoughts. Sorry for not much updates here. Besides, I have learned to reserve some information for myself and share it only to my closest friends. (they know where to find me, wink!) But a friend actually send me a link to check out for free wordpress themes available online.  The site have very nice collections!  I am actually liking the Louis Vuitton theme.  It could be perfect for a bag-hag like me! lol!

As we saw some koi pond supplies in the nearby weekend market in the village, the husband thought and asked me if we should rather have a small pond in the garden. I am not sure how we could maintain such so I am not buying that idea first. Of course, there is still my dream to add a pool in the spacious area in the garden. I was teasing the husband that he barely use the basketball court so might as well put up a pool. But gee, the maintenance fee of having one is like having an additional helper. Got to think about it again since I am pretty sure it would add up to my share of household expenses. lol!

We have a number of chocolates inside the refrigerator and no one is bothering to eat it. Thank goodness, the kids don’t eat much of it as well, otherwise I’m sure I would have problems on their teeth. I would probably have to give those out already to my nephews instead.  Otherwise I would really be tempted!  Not a good one since sweets are really not included on the diet! I have survived 14-days of not eating chocolates! It’s an accomplishment!

has been bothering me. Yes, it’s a thing.  Apparently, not a bag this time. I was having sleepless nights for the past few days since I saw that piece from a friend. When I went to a store to confirm the price, I got to look for the exit signs right away, lol! My credit card is at stake! But I have been dreaming about it.  I hope this would come to pass soon!

I was done with one cycle of Phase 1 of South Beach Diet.  The verdict?  Lost about 7 pounds.  It was kinda fast on my end and I’m happy with results.  Though I really didn’t get another cycle yet but I have been thinking.  If it would worth to lose another 7 pounds, might really consider.  There is so much more to lose and I need to work doubly harder for it as well.  The husband ordered as well his Phase 1 cycle.  We both need to lose a lot of weight (oh, he has more to lose actually :P ). Praying that both of us can keep up with this diet.

Had few talks with friends last night about making new ventures. We are looking at putting up some business abroad. Still on the works and still reviewing documentations on who we can manage to do it since there would be a number of requirements we need to submit as well. We would probably capitalize on the fact that one of our friends is a US Citizen. We were even candidly joking that we could also consider to buy gold bars from the US Gold Bureau. How I wish, we can really pull off enough capital for such investment. It can be available in coin or even on ingot form. As we all know buying gold has been done centuries back and it’s such a way to accumulate wealth. Well, should we decide on it, would consider getting from dedicated staff who knows very well how to manage investments portfolio of precious metals. It would be so safe to get from US Gold Bureau. For the meantime, we are hoping to pursue a business venture related to our industry.

After the health insurance, I am asked by the husband to check on cheap home insurance available. Well, yes…talking about protection for the whole family. The husband is concern not just to protect our individual selves but to also protect properly our properties. I would like to think that this is a very good move. We would like to secure everything for our children. So bulk of our expenses for the month would actually go to paying insurance premiums.  No joke, it’s kinda expensive too!

Yes, of course our health matters. My husband and I had a serious talk about getting additional health insurance for both of us. I wish there is a health savings account here in the country that you can open in your bank and can give you a debit-card that you can use to actually protect you for any health-concern expenses. It’s like saving money and putting in a savings fund dedicated for any future medical expenses. I guess we all have to take care of our own health and take measures on who to protect us and our family for limitless expenses once we get sick.  For me, it’s one important matter that we should prioritize that is why we are actively reviewing other health insurance options on top of the HMO coverage we have currently.  I feel like these coverages wouldn’t be enough when emergency happens.  I don’t want to make money an issue just to save  a life of a loved one.
