The husband has been requesting me that we watch Iron Man 2 on it’s first showing day. Apparently, it was a busy week so we failed to do so. We heard a lot of good reviews about the movie and after seeing some eye-catching pop displays as well in Eastwood Cinema, I am pretty sure that the film is a hit to movie goers. We are watching tomorrow night instead after putting the kids to sleep. I look forward to it. It’s movie date night with the husband ;)

according to this quiz…

You Should Live in a Red House

You are adventurous and have a passion for life. You want to explore new places.

You crave love and ever lasting romance. You want to deepen your intense feelings for another person.

You don’t worry about what others think of you. You are who you are, and you’ve given up trying to be someone else.

You are quite persuasive. You know how to get your way whenever you want to… and you often want to!

last night but I’ve got the best eye cream for dark circles so I am safe. I have put on some already. I waited for the husband to come home last night which was very late already. But so happy he is back home after two nights of being away. I really don’t think I can be an OFW wife, ;) lol! I just can’t. I really look up to those who are on those situation because I know how hard it is to be away from family.

Now, off for a wedding in Tagaytay…

I came from the bank to change currencies for our upcoming trip. Our account manager in the bank was offering me an investment to buy gold coins. There is a growing market for gold recently and an increase have been seen tremendously. Primarily, this is brought about by the downfall of the US economy. I was advised by the account manager that investing in gold is actually a safer one more than any other investment in other currencies.

This kind of investment has to be studied very well. I am pretty sure there are more things to be learned about this kind of business and it would definitely flourish once proper training on trading this precious stone is practiced.

Two weeks ago, our family together with our relatives had a simple get-together in a nearby resort from our place. It is so nearby, that it is just about two lots away from our house. It was so convenient and my cousins and aunts love the place too. It’s a huge venue for parties as well with lots of mango trees, they have a small pond that uses a pressurized pond filter. Of course there is a pool and a resting area too. It was potluck so we had a lot of food. It’s been a while since we had this kind of a gathering since we always find it hard to book a resort with our number of heads. Besides, we are always last minute in planning. Glad the venue was available when I inquired. The place is called The Orchard. Here are some pictures of the venue…

We rented the place for a day.  From 10am-7pm.  My cousins prepared a little something for our dear Margaux.  It turned out to be her birthday celebration too.  They got her a birthday cake and ice cream too!  But it was Bianca who blew the candle on the cake, lol! More pictures…

Yipee! It is long weekend again this coming week and next week again. May 3 declared as non-working holiday in lieu of the labor day celebration of May 1. And next week, it would be another long weekend since it is already election day. Speaking of election day, have you guys decided on who to vote? I think we should really take time to review the credentials and the characters of these candidates. And as for the automated voting system, let’s give it a chance. Let’s not be too negative yet about it and just pray that everything would work well without any flaws. Our country doesn’t need any negativism at this time. Let’s ask for God’s guidance for our people to vote wisely. Let’s pray for our nation.

The agencies involved have actually made necessary precautions anyway. My husband’s company is one of the telecommunications provider for COMELEC. In fact, he would also be on-call duty all throughout that day. Let us also pray for everyone’s safety.

is so busy but I still haven’t finished like half of the things I would have to do. It’s always crazy during mondays. With tons of emails to answer, lots of follow ups for the next upcoming event and some other personal errands to do. The husband is also bugging to do a couple of things for him. Hmm, I’m like his secretary. Like, he wants me to review insurances. Thanks to a site where I can just get multiple term life insurance rates and quotes by just inputting our desired coverage amount and term. Now, I am one task done for him. Got few more errands to do for him tomorrow. What a job!

Can you tell me should I still need top rated diet pills after looking at my current pictures below? I have lost few pounds already and still working on achieving my ideal weight. It’s a lot of hard work I tell you and it isn’t easy at all. Like yesterday, cheated again by feasting over chinese food in Hap Chan for lunch and eating crabs with lots of rice in Dampa for dinner.   So I need to do some exercising today to burn all those carbs I took over the weekend. Sorry, can’t really help but talk about dieting…it is indeed a hard task! Wish there’s an easy way to this.

we moved to our dream house, it was early morning of April 26, 2009 then.  See my post here.

We didn’t change much of the furnishings, except for two few vases which was broken by the kids (aw!) Pictures below were taken last year…

It was busy for us. Had events over the weekend (work-related and personal). Saturday, while I was in Pampanga for an event, the kids just went to my mom’s place to visit them while the husband went to finish some work in his office. Sunday, we heard mass then off to finalize on what to buy as our anniversary gift for each other. We already ordered it ;) We had a simple celebration also as we dine-in Dampa in Libis. Went home pretty late and I missed watching again those sunday showbiz talk shows. I heard there were some revelations among showbiz personalities who underwent bariatric surgery. I wonder who were those? We capped the night by having a very yummy dessert of Razon’s Halo-Halo.

Yes, our Wedding Anniversary is coming up soon. We would be celebrating our 8th year this coming May 4.  No definite plans yet as to where we are spending it since the husband still needs to go to work that day.  It’s a Tuesday actually.  I’m on reviews of fine dining restaurants that we haven’t tried.  Since we are on a diet, a buffet in a hotel would definitely be out.  Yes, we usually go to Peninsula Manila (where we had our wedding reception) for a dinner buffet, but this time we would like to try something different.  Any suggestions?  If all my research fail and if should i not find confidence on the recommended restaurants, I am sure Le Souffle Rockwell would always be a good choice.  It’s been a while since we last ate there too anyway.

Since I went to this known hairdresser in the country for the past year, i haven’t had a hair rebond. I know, it is something new to me since hair re-bonding has been a regular regimen for a couple of years already. But this hairdresser thinks otherwise, she recommends to just grow my hair as is so it would look more natural. Apparently, there are just days that I just want to give up on everyday blow drying to make my hair look straight. I am thinking though to try the Permanent Blow Dry that is being offered from Basement Salon. Although I am not sure if such would actually last for months but the stylist told me it can hold up without my curls for more that 3 months. Well, it should be since it is priced hefty.

And speaking of Basement Salon, they do offer professional make-up classes at an affordable price. I remember taking one before and I enjoyed the class very much. I wonder if their class is the same as the cosmetology school in North Carolina which is a known beauty school founded more than 50 years ago in Minneapolis. But right now, they have close to 30 campuses already across the US. I have read up that their campuses are known to have upscale salons. They are also known to provide unique programs that caters to every individual who wants to have a career in beauty industry.

Ok, back to my topic, still undecided whether to have a hair re-bond soon.  And oh, by the way, I want hair color too! ;)

I am very vocal about my preference for Peninsula Manila among all other hotels in the country.  Oh well, aside from the fact that we got married there, I love their lobby, their room, their facilities, their food, their service and their people.  That’s why when they invited me over last Sunday to attend their event, I really made sure to come.  It was a great evening with friends.  The food is superb.  They featured the amenities in their new packages.  Again, it was all good and excellent choices.

TagaytayHighlands1

Glad that some of my blackheads didn’t show on this picture. We spent a day in Tagaytay Highlands two saturdays ago. The kids enjoyed riding the funicular tram while they were waiting for me to finish my meeting. We also had a refreshing halo-halo by the midlands veranda. We went to Little Souls also near Amadeo. It is a nice quiant chapel where you can write your intentions so the nuns can pray for it.  The kids went horse back riding after.  It was a short trip but we just love being together as a family.

It is going to be another working weekend for me tomorrow. Whoa, call time is at 5 in the morning so good luck to me. In order to refresh me from a stressful week since I’ve got tons of meetings the past few days, I called up our favorite home service spa massage. I’m looking forward to stretch my body and be enticed to their flavored massage oil. Yes, they do offer those as well. My masseuse said their salon is even ordering it from abroad. I am not sure if what they use is the same as those that Green Dragon Herbals have. These are known edible massage oils. I think I would want a scent that would let me have a restful sleep. Maybe a lavender would do. That’s actually my favorite. I need to recharge for a busy working weekend starting tomorrow.

In few times, I got the chance to use the husband’s iPhone especially when he is sleeping already ;) I am beginning to love it! Thanks to the newly installed cell phone signal booster within our street, I love browsing the internet and using all the applications installed to it. And yes, I am thinking to get one for myself. But I am torn whether to get a white or a black? Any suggestions? I wonder how true it is that the white could change into brown overtime especially if you use the internet or playing games or the applications often? Would appreciate comments/feedbacks.

Crocgabby

No, this is no clarks shoes (which I would like to get myself by the way) but the above is Bianca’s Crocs Gabby. She only wore these few times and it doesn’t fit her anymore this time. It is just one of the items I have cleaned up from the kids’ closet last week and have posted in my flickr account as “for sale.” Gee, so surprised that most clothes and shoes like these have been sold in minutes just after posting it. Thanks to my twittermates ;) lol!

A home security device is being offered to us that even includes videosurveillance. Although, the village we are staying is very safe, we still do not want to take chances so we are considering placing a home security system inside the house. On this day and age, you really do not want to compromise anything at all. We just have to review more our options.

It’s the first time for the kids to join the Easter Egg Hunting in our village clubhouse. It was totally fun! There were really lots of eggs within the entire premise of the clubhouse and Margaux and Bianca really enjoyed running around looking for it. They’ve got a number actually with the help of their yayas of course. Afterwards, those eggs were exchanged for nice toys. There were few activities as well like face painting, magic show and some mascots moving around. I think it would already be a yearly Easter activity for my kids in the village. At least, we don’t need to go anywhere else.

Before I actually review the North Carolina health insurance that my aunt is asking me to read, let me post first the pictures from our quick get-away during the Holy Week. We took advantage of the vacation time two weeks ago. The husband cannot take off any additional vacation leaves so we are relying to regular work holidays to have quick trips like this. We really have wanted to take the kids for a trip to the beach but we just couldn’t find an available resort during that time. Lesson learned really to book way in advance especially if it is the Holy Week.

We went to a nearby resort, Thunderbird Resort in Rizal. After staying in their othe resort in La Union, I find their service very good. I love the spacious room, the amenities, value for money for their room accommodation. Both of their resorts (La Union and Rizal) have a casino inside.

We only stayed there for overnight from Holy Thursday to Good Friday. The kids of course enjoyed swimming to bits. It’s just good to have a relaxing moment during that time.

Some of our pictures…

This is one of my busiest week!!! I could already imagine how tired I could be at the end of the week. If I would check my pulse rate from an oximeter, my pulse rate would probably have gone for more than a hundred. I have meetings everyday, starting early morning till late evening. I really have to finish most of my work before I leave for a vacation on May. I cannot afford not to enjoy it by clients calling me for some concerns.  I’ll load up myself with vitamins probably as sickness is not entirely allowed at this time.  Now, I am going back to work in 3, 2, 1!

Our home edition would officially start on April 5! ;) Yeah, the husband and I made a deal to go on a bet to lose weight seriously. When I say serious, it means it comes with a prize at stake as to whoever between us would win the competition. lol! ;) We need to lose at minimum 10% of our current weight after a month. We would try to do all means on our own without cheating. I am so determined to lose weight so I may not eat anymore starting Monday, lol! :P I am dead set to win either a new bag (wink!) or some loose diamonds for a new pair of earrings! (wee!) But kidding aside, the prize would be healthier and longer life. It would be for our kids. Wish us luck!
