Before I even worry and get confused about a number of prenatal vitamins available in the market today, I am already confused on which version of Chinese Calendar to follow in order for us to concieve a baby boy!
A number of my friends actually followed the Chinese Calendar and were very accurate with the results but there has been some differences in the interpretations of these calendars. For some, lunar age should be considered, for the rest, regular human age would do. There’s even a different interpretation on the months itself since it would also have to follow the chinese charts. In reality, I am overly perflexed. It’s totally confusing! Take for example these two charts I found…

Based on my age, they differ in months on when to conceive a baby boy. Whoa! Well, I agree with what one of my friends said who would thought that conceiving for a baby boy or girl even includes a mathematical equation?!
Oh boy! lol!
There were some discussions about Lucky Charms among friends last week. So instead of just buying hair supplements that I need for my dry and limp hair from my favorite chinese store, I also took the chance to get myself those goodluck charms even before the eve of chinese new year. I have never been a fanatic of these charms but I believe there’s nothing much to lose anyway. Don’t know if it’s a coincidence but I have been receiving a number of good news for the past few days…well, it’s probably because of faith as well!
My talisman for good income and wealth…

And my blue rhinos (those born in the year would need one during this year of metal tiger)

Our last day in Guam was spent mostly for swimming. The kids don’t really get tired of enjoying the water. Although, I don’t enjoy much of the heat, of course, anything for them so Dicky and I headed out to the pool as well after our buffet breakfast in the hotel.

The kids can’t get enough of swimming in the pool. Thanks to the floaters I brought. It made our lives easier ;p

Looking at my picture above, makes me think to do some lipozene reviews. Would it be effective on me? lol!
We took an afternoon nap and while the kids were sleeping, Dicky and I took the chance to take our snapshots by our room’s veranda…

I already packed our suitcases so as the balikbayan box we were bringing home as we had an early morning flight the following day. We went to Pleasure Island to have a stroll and take our dinner as well.

We slept early that night as our flight back to Manila was at 4am. It was indeed a happy vacation with the family! I look forward to more of these travels with the husband and the kids.
We rented a self-driven car on our 3rd day. We got it for only $45 for 24-hour rental! Yeah, cheap! We enjoyed the day just hopping from one mall to the other. Our first destination was Guam Premier Outlets. It wasn’t that big and not too many stores to really enjoy but got really nice stuff from Nine West, BCBG and Ross. We ended up getting a small balikbayan box on our way back to Manila since I hoarded about 5 sets of bedsheets. I was very happy to have found nice bedsheet sets in Guam for our King Size bed, which were only from $16-25, for a 4-pc set. What I like most is that these sheets are at 300 thread count and can even accommodate a 17″ mattress. I usually find it hard to get nice sheets here since we pretty have a think mattress and most of the local manufacturers can only accommodate up to 8″. I even got a 450 thread count for just $25. Those were really steal.
The kids were very cooperative during our stay in Guam. As they say, it’s getting easier each trip. Thank goodness, they can be coached on what to do. I thought I would even need those wrinkle creams to battle my stress during the trip. But no, I didn’t need any since I also don’t want to fall prey on those creams that claim 100% benefit. I would have wanted to check also on youthology scam before buying any.
We also went to Micronesia Mall, Tumon Sands, Tumon Plaza and K-Mart. We also went to Two Lover’s Point, the highest point in the island of Guam. We had nice pictures from here. We went back to our hotel almost 10pm already. (yes, sinulit ang car rental). We just ate in one of the restaurants in Micronesia Mall which I actually forgot already.
All of us were literally dead tired for the whole day so we just capped the night easily.

I know this has been a long overdue post about our trip to Guam last November. Nevertheless, here it is…
It was our first time in Guam. Thanks to Mabuhay Miles promo again last year that we were able to claim 3 roundtrip tickets to Guam. Actually thanks to HSBC Mabuhay Miles credit card. It was so worth it to spend using that credit card. Proof? Our HK trip last September for the whole family were all miles redeemed so as this trip to Guam. We only got a paying ticket for Bianca.
We decided to choose this island for our destination last november. We didn’t regret it. We had a great time. It was family bonding again. And as me and Dicky who took care of the kids for 4 days, i didn’t need any of those ephedra diet pills since I pretty lose about 5lbs in that quick span of time
We left Manila for late flight of 10pm. We were in the airport by 7pm. Again, since it’s Philippine Airlines, it was just a breeze in check-in counters. Guam is ahead of Manila’s time for 2 hours. It was just a quick 4hour flight so we technically arrived Guam at 4am. Upon landing in Guam International Airport, we went straight to the taxi bay to get our ride to Westin Hotel. Our driver was Filipino so we felt at ease. Our room in Westin were already reserved the day before so we were allowed to check-in right away. We were happy with the size of the room. A typical deluxe room for a 5-star hotel. There’s a veranda overlooking the beach and the whole stretch of Tumon Sands. We decided to rest and sleep first before we made our first day adventures.
The next day, we woke up almost 1030am already. We decided to go out and check out Tumon Sands Plaza and DFS Galleria. (yes, shopping right away ;P). Since it was close to lunch time, we took our brunch in Outrigger Hotel. We went to the Underwater World within Tumon Sands Plaza. The place is pretty small. Manila Ocean Park is actually bigger than this. Nevertheless, we still want the kids to see it. Afterwards, we went back to our hotel after strolling around the nearby mall and going to DFS Galleria. We changed to our swimming attires and we were off to the beach afterwards.
Westin Hotel is beachfront. Guam beach is beautiful. They kids didn’t want to stay in the sands so we let them stay in the pool instead. But we also tried the kayak and then we stayed in the pool area until sunset.
We went back to our hotel room almost 7pm already. We cleaned up the kids and they were snoozing as early as 8pm. Dicky just grabbed a take-out food from a nearby restaurant. We were both tired as well so we just ended the night early.
Day 2 coming up…
Some of our pictures from Day 1…

It’s already mid-February and it’s been hot already on our part of this world. I am hoping to hit the beach this summer with the whole family. Need to get a quick weight loss for me and the husband so we can be back to shape before this trip. Still no final plans yet but we are looking to bring the kids to those nice resorts in the south. I just hope the husband can find time to take a leave from work
It is indeed a very good Sunday as we celebrate “Lunar New Year” and Valentine’s Day at the same time for this year 2010. Going out for lunch with the family as we celebrate these two occasions and would also head out to buy those chinese amulets to guard us for the whole year through. We are a believer of feng shui but we only choose those appropriate. Aside from that, we also plan to get those hgh supplements as well as freshly brewed tea from our favorite chinese store. Enjoy the rest of the day everyone!
Before I look into the cad drawing that my husband is showing for the business we are launching, let me share with you our pictures from the photo booth during my friend’s wedding two weeks back. Finally, they tied the knot. It was long overdue already!!! lol!
Everyone had a blast in photo booth. (Nevermind, my freaking big arms!
) In fact, it has always been a hit in most of the events. For weddings that we do, photo booths have been a regular staple for guests to enjoy while everyone is having cocktails and waiting for the couple to come in. That’s basically what we did during Jobert and Mimi’s wedding.

And here’s our picture with the couple…

The iPhone of the husband arrived Friday of last week. Thanks to an online good friend who brought it all the way from Boston. We had the phone unlocked in Greenhills yesterday and after seeing all the applications downloaded to his new toy, I am thinking I want also!!! lol! There are just so many nice applications that can be used for the iPhone. In fact, the husband loves it to bits as well! And can you believe that there’s even an application now that can even get rid of blackheads? Yes, read it in Huffington Post that AcneApp is now available in iTunes that can treat zits on your face using nonometer blue and red light. It’s a dermatologist-developed treatment formulated by Dr. Greg Pearson. As the doctor said, it is a fascinated concept that users would potentially be able to treat their acne while talking on the phone. Unbelievable!

From the picture above, I obviously need a quick trim solution that I would need to shed off those extra pounds I gained over the holidays. Thanks to that pillow (which i purposely put) infront of my tummy to hide those flabs! I tried to go back to my south beach diet last monday but I was a failure. Arg! The husband is actually trying to go back as well as we really feasted during those christmas season. I think I better order again the food for delivery to jumpstart both of us. It’s less than 3 months before that grand vacation so we need ample space to store again those extra pounds!
is bliss! My home service treatment just finished. Foot spa with pedicure and then manicure, after which, an hour and a half of body massage! Love it! There are a number of spa services within the village so it’s always a phone call away whenever I want some relaxation. In fact, we are loyal patrons already of our favorite home service spa. In fact, I have even tried their facial which is also good as they use all natural ingredients for the products they put on your face. And the blackhead extractor that they have doesn’t stink at all. I’m due for another facial again next week!
according to this quiz from Blogthings are:
You Have Your Priorities in Order |
![]() For you, sex is usually your number one priority. You don’t mind having things to get done… as long as they don’t pile up on you. You attend to almost every priority in your life. You don’t neglect much. You want thinking to be a high priority, but you don’t take enough time for yourself. |
Harharhar, the first priority is so funny!!! Could it be true? lol!

This is how my kids look like when they are sound asleep. Well-behaved huh? Although they have been moving around the entire bed, I’m pretty happy that they sleep through the night already without any tantrums or whatsover. In fact, during schooldays, they are up in the room and tucked in their bed already as early as 830pm.
Thanks to allergy mattress covers which I bought online. Bianca’s atopic dermatitis lessened since we moved to the new house. The mattress covers we use for them now are free from allergens or bed bugs. It is indeed a good buy.
I finally convinced the husband to spend for himself, lol!, as he deserves something great. He has a set budget already and have been thinking to get some of his options: new home theater system, wii, xbox 360 or an iPhone. Glad he chose the iPhone. A good friend offered to get it from the US and bring it with her in time for her arrival on friday here in Manila. I’m pretty excited so I am even going to pick her up in the airport. Got it at a very good deal compared to prices here in Manila. And glad that he agreed to get the 32g of the 3gs so we can load more movies and songs from iTunes! Do you notice that I’m the one more excited about this new gadget? lol!

No, I didn’t get those boots of the kids from Stuart Weitzman, but I want something there for myself
Although I have enough boots already, which in fact I barely use. I am reserving those to use for our upcoming trips. Got those booties from Zara. Glad those were on sale
The kids are complete with their gears with their matching jackets. Although it is not exactly winter when we go to the US, we still would like to wear our wardrobes for picture purpose! Lol! Anyway, their spring season is cold enough for us! And as an OC mom as I am, I am already preparing for the kids outfit by then! Can’t wait! Can’t really wait!
