was a good one.  Thanks to his friends who are mostly former officemates who joined us for his birthday celebration.  Thanks also to the good weather.  It was worth it to do the party outdoor.  I had to make sure that we sprayed on some citronella oils within the perimeters since mosquitoes and all other insects are not at all invited.  We had it catered again by Josiah’s (our fave) and as per his request, he wants mongolian grill to be part of the menu.  Guests mostly came between 7pm-8pm.  We had a good number of guests, almost everyone he was expecting arrived.  I can tell that the husband is a well-loved individual even if he has not been with the company for almost a year now.  

After a sumptuous dinner, we trooped inside the house because it was air-conditioned.  They played poker until like 230am!  Everyone had fun!  And so as the husband since he also got nice presents from friends, including the new poker set, which they used right away!  It’s a better set than what we have currently.  I’m sure the husband would get more hooked on this game.

More than anything, it was with the company of good friends which made it really special for his  birthday celebration.

is what I am really hoping for. Let’s start the monday morning in good positive vibes. I came from a beautiful weekend so I should be very happy at this time.

The husband’s party was so fun last saturday. Thanks to good weather so we were able to stay outdoor. We had a good number of guests. Food was yummy as we hired a caterer. I still have to upload pictures so I would just do it later. We had a good sunday too and the husband was happy that I was very supportive of him. Will post about it differently as well.

For the meantime, its almost time to work so I need to close all other sites like flickr as I might end up buying another bag!

from me recently? Sorry. Not that I don’t have anything to blog. In fact, I have lots of stories to tell but I’m just so damn lazy. Plus my hands are full with mommy duties and work-related activities. I just can’t squeeze some time lately to post because a day is not even enough with all the things that needs to be done. Also, I am preoccupied and busy to just do facebooking, twitterring and now, flickring! Yes, its easy to keep up with online friends with these three stuff. As to what we are talking about online, its a lot…as in a lot! I cannot tell as to how much we are enjoying chatting with another and commenting on each other’s pictures. I have to become a “pro” already soon so I can upload tons of pics. But I’m so broke from my online moolah (bwahaha) so maybe, I would just upgrade next week when I have a “salary” already. For the meantime, I need to read more about the H1N1 update since I heard that there’s one Filipina who died already today because of the disease. I’m a scared cat again! I hope government would do proper governance about this pandemic and even go to the extent of checking the quality of farm/piggery supplies including cattle supplies to ensure the stop on spreading this disease.

So what kind of investment are they talking about? The husband and his uncles are discussing about rare coin investments. They are actually reading some information about Monex family of companies which has been in the industry for almost 40 years already and have been a provider of gold, silver and platinum bullions or coins. They own also Monaco which has been gaining popularity eversince even for collectors alone and now making its move to be a good source for investors.

One of husband’s uncle wants to actually talk to a professional agent of Monaco who is very well experienced and knowledgeable about their different investment programs. They want to understand which investment portfolio would fit their budget. They would like to consider it as a collection as well as an investment. Getting professional help would be ideal especially for newbies like them.

was just a simple one. Prepared merienda for my husband’s uncle and cousins who went to the house last sunday. I prepared grilled chicken fajitas and creamy potato salad. While the husband volunteered to cook seafood fettucine.

It was a good catching up with his uncles. We also talked about some business and the current economy which is actually their favorite topic, mind you.

So while they were busy talking about it in the living room, the kids are enjoying their favorite ice cream…Berry Strawberry for Margaux and Hazelnut Brownie for Bianca.

Its her turn this time.  Yesterday was her 1st day and I’m so happy as it was a breeze to send her inside the campus.  Remember last year when we had to do a lot of pleading cause she doesn’t want to go to school?  At least now, she is very much at ease.  I guess because its her second year and she’s so familiar already with the school premise.  Their first step class last year were subdivided into different sections.  She only have about 4 other classmates from her previous class.  

Margaux is now on Nursery-1.  She would move up to Kindergarten next year and then in no time, will become a full-pledged grade schooler already!  Time flies really fast!  Can I hold it off?

The little Bianca enjoyed her 1st week in school.  No qualms or no fretting!  I’m so proud.  She would immediately enter her classroom after coming out from the car.  Its so nice to see her participating in class activities.  I hope she would really not get bored.  In fact, she’s pretty adjusted to the routine, which was my main purpose why I enrolled her this early.  At least, she is doing something productive every day, unlike the usual watching of TV.  I get so busy sometimes that I really cannot attend to her all throughout the day.  And with her big sister going to school as well starting next week, I am sure she would miss a playmate in the morning.  For the past 5 days that she was attending the class, I noticed that she became more playful and she is trying her best now to communicate herself.  I guess this is also one of the advantages or expectations that I am looking forward in sending her to the toddler school.

the garden area has been our regular activity every afternoon.  I have been tending to the garden for the past couple of weeks.  Still, I feel like there’s something lacking in there.  I want to buy more plants and add some orchids perhaps.  We are still growing the grass actually.  I am taking gardening as a new found hobby.  A new found activity aside from doing some running around the village every afternoon.  Well, these activities could add up to my plan to really lose weight, otherwise, I might compelled myself to take those diet pills already if I don’t lose weight soon.

of the husband has been sold last thursday to a supplier friend.  Without so much ado, deal has been done!  I was suprised to see that it is being brought to my friend’s car already.  This is the reason why we trooped to Shangrila Mall yesterday to check out a new home theater system for the room.  But we still didn’t arrive at the final decision.  I am pretty sure though that the husband will get his new one before his birthday arrives.  He was telling me that it would be his gift for himself.  So what about me?  Hahaha! He still hasn’t given me the “major gift!”  Hmm, I know its coming soon.  Just have to wait for few more weeks.  Anyway, he is also considering to check and get a new XBox as well.  I’m sure he won’t just be the happy camper to have that in case, but the kids and my nephews as well. 

yes, I guess it’s finally over.  How time flies that the two-months break has finally come to end.  And how time flies as well that this school year, we now have two kids who are going to school!   Yeah, Bianca’s class (toddler class) would start by monday next week.  We enrolled her in a nearby (inside the village) play school called House of Little People.  We heard a lot of good things about this school which offers until prep.  Most of the kids who came from these schools are able to enter the premier big schools like Ateneo, Miriam, Poveda, La Salle.  I’m excited for Bianca to enter school as I am sure this would improve especially her speech development as she still talks German at this time, lol!

Margaux’s school will start next next week instead.  And orientation would be next week also.  Gee, I’m putting on my dotting mom’s hat again so expect pictures of their first week in school.  I hope the kids would love going to school! 

I had a simple party with friends last saturday in our new house.  Thanks to the girls for coming despite the heavy rain.  Good thing, they didn’t get lost with my directions via sms.  I specifically asked the “cook” on what to prepare and everyone enjoyed the hearthy meal.  I am blessed with a good cook now and glad that she’s a right fit for our household.  We cooked together the following:  shrimp tempura, steamed lapu-lapu (chinese style), beef kalderata, herbed chicken and crispy pancit canton.  Mind you, this was the 3rd party in the house.  I’ll post next time the party last night with the wedding suppliers as I was very happy that a lot came in also despite the heavy rain. 

I have been itching to travel already but because of the swine flu scare, we can only dream of nice destinations for a very nice family vacation. The husband and I have discussed and lined-up the countries we would like to go to in the next couple of years. Now that the house is done, our next project will be travelling with the whole family every year. It could be a perfect reason to celebrate yearly our wedding anniversary out-of-the-country. Did you know it was the reason why we made our wedding on a month of May so we can all go together as a whole family since the kids are on break?

We also love to go to the beach so aside from planning to go to Guam and Hawaii next time, we also would like to check out places like the ones from the Karisma Hotels and Resorts, which are white-sand beaches on Mexican Riviera Maya.  They really have beautiful resorts that can make one’s vacation truly a rewarding and luxurious experience.  Imagine yourself lying on some of their beach beds while enjoying a sip of their signature drinks in their bar swings.  There are also hot tubs and hammocks around.  Aside from that, their cuisine is excemptional since they offer international gourmet which is specifically prepared for a sophisticated world traveller.  Because they bake their own breads, they prepare their own pastas and sauces and really use fresh ingredients that would delight each guests.  They have 5 distinct resorts available suited for everyone’s needs.  El Dorado Royale Spa Resort (adults only), El Dorado Seaside Suites (adults only), Azul Beach (family-friendly and which I am wishing we could go to sometime) and Azul Blue (family-friendly – opening November 2006) and Hidden Beach Resort (naturalist).

Oh, I can’t wait to plan again for our next trip and include any of the above beautiful resorts in our next itinerary.  

So how good could it get?  This is one of my birthday gifts! My L-shape office table arrived already yesterday.  PLDT DSL already installed as well.  And I am happy that my airport express was working so our house is now wi-fi!  Ah, gone are the days when I have to work in the garage area just to get a good signal using the smart-bro! I am a happy camper now working on this home office.  I’m inspired! Hihihi.  But I am thinking that I still need to get a new light fixtures to make the room cozier.

The husband wrote…”I know we are not getting any younger but atleast we are growing old with each other!” 

Need I say more?  he’s such a romantic guy!  I married the right guy and true to his words that he would court me forever!  Just having the family together and always being healthy is the best gift I could ever receive for my birthday.  They are my life, my precious ones!

I have been reviving my love for baking since I now have a nice kitchen.  Last week I attempted to make a banana loaf.  It wasn’t as pleasing looking as in the picture but I am proud to say that it was a success.  My husband loves it so much and he is even asking me to make one again.  

This week, I attempted to make a round chocolate cake.  The kids in turn love it as I put chocolate frostings as well.  Next week, I am thinking to do a lemon butter cake.  Let’s see if I can make a new career out of this new found hobby! lol!

yes, is the husband.  Did you know that he ultimately worked to have our cable TV be installed (soon) since he has been missing a lot of the NBA games?  So even without a facility in our area, he braved himself to knock on our neighbors doors and ask them to sign a petition letter for a cable TV facility be installed in  our street.  Good thing, mostly cooperated.  So today, it is a happy thought that the cables were being lined up already in the street and the lineman said they would install in our individual household already by tomorrow.  And to prove to you how addicted my husband to basketball, look at his picture below last weekend trying to put up the ring he bought from Pampanga!  Yes, trooped all the way there just to get this and despite the rain last sunday, he was never bothered about it.  He insisted to the workers that it should be up by then.  But because of bad weather for the past few days, too bad, he wasn’t able to play on his arena yet!  For the meantime, like today, I am using that court as my birthday venue!  I have requested a tent to be put up today. I joined the kids in swimming in the new inflatable pool which we bought 2 weeks ago.  It was fun!  The kids are really having a blast in playing here that’s why I cannot resist not to join them.  And oh, we are playing that water gun as well!  It is just so great spending time with kids!

Ok, the birthday bag is not yet here. In fact, I haven’t decided yet what to finally get. It’s confusing and i’m fickle minded! Hahaha! And there are no stocks here so I am definitely ordering abroad. But I already got myself a “little something” yesterday to compensate for the delay of the birthday bag! I have until June 10 to finally decide on what to get as a client from abroad is already coming home by June 12. And with friends from twitter telling me that there’s about $300-400 slash on outlet store in Gucci, Texas, makes me think twice or even thrice again now on what to finally get!
