She is no longer a baby…she’s 4 years old today!
Dearest Margaux,
Mommy, Daddy and Bianca love you so much. We always pray that you will grow up to be a very beautiful girl inside and out. I can still clearly remember how your dad and I got so excited when we learned that we were finally pregnant after two and a half years of waiting. It was the sweetest wait to be blessed with a child. We were very happy for your arrival after 9 months. I made all extra planning for your delivery and thank God you came out healthy and beautiful. It was a whole new take of parenthood for me and your dad but we happily embraced it. It was an endearing moment the first time I held you after delivery. Tears fell into my eyes. These were all fresh to me and now, 4 years have passed, I wonder where did all the years go by. You may not be a tiny delicate baby I always hold close to me, but in my heart, you would still be my dear baby. I appreciate you being so accepting and loving to your sister, Bianca. I look forward to the years and see more of your becoming. I am pretty sure that you will grow up to be a fine lady! Mommy and Daddy would surely be proud of whatever you will be in life. We would always be here to support and guide you. You and Bianca together with daddy completes me, completes my life. Happy Birthday!
Love you so much,
Mommy
I haven’t really bought any special gift yet for the little girl, “Margaux” for her birthday tomorrow. I actually ordered a number of Amazon books, specifically children’s books like Dr. Seuss and I am waiting for its arrival as part of her late birthday presents. Tomorrow, just planning to bring her, Bianca and her cousins to Manila Ocean Park and then to Mall of Asia so they can play in Kids Republic after. We would just have a simple dinner also. I’m off from party planning this year since we have other more important stuff to think about. I am saving up for the 7th birthday instead since I want it all splurge in a fashion show theme!
was a blast last friday, March 20 in Fernbrook, Alabang. Apparently, all roads lead to the place despite the heavy traffic in SLEX. Wedding suppliers were mostly dressed, and mind you, we all love dressing up. It was good to be with company of friends in the industry. There were production numbers prepared by some suppliers like the rocking Single Ladies by Teddy Manuel a.k.a Beyonce and our association, Philippine Association of Wedding Planners (I’m one of the performers, yeah). There were also awarding of the Top 10 Wedding Suppliers and down to Top 5 and proclaiming Cecilio Abad (designer) as the voted Top Wedding Supplier by w@wies for 2008. Hall-of-Famers were also asked to received their plaques. These were the previous Wedding Suppliers for the past 5 years. And there were also best-dressed of the night from w@wies and wedding suppliers alike. No one can beat Jason Magbanua as he was very dashing on his tuxedo.
Pictures and videos (even our dance number) were all over facebook so if you have an account just look for it! lol.
Anyway, here are some pics from my camera:
1. As we arrived in the venue by the paparazzi wall (with Mimi Ferrera of Sasha Clothing)
2 and 3. Before our dance presentation (PAWP members: Bangs Zaldivar, Liza, Alviedo, Marex Gaba and Jairus of Complete Work, Inc). We danced Wishing and Hoping.
4 and 5. With friends from PAWP.
6. With Chinkie Agregado-Uy, Ernest Pascual, Liza Alviedo and Joyce Aguilar.
7. With Marex Gaba.
8. With Liza Alviedo and Joyce Aguilar.
9. Again with Liza Alviedo, Joyce Aguilar and Bangs Zaldivar.
This is my cousin Stephanie based in LA, who recently came home for a quick vacation with her husband. It’s been 15years since I last saw her. Didn’t get a chance to actually meet her when we were in LA in 2006. We had great memories together when she went home in Manila way back when she was 7 and 15 years old. Now, we are both married. It was so good to reunite with her. Wishing we could spend more time together but their stay was way too short.
Can you see the resemblance? We are like long lost sisters…
in a couple of days so as the car registrations are also due already. I forgot to mention in my to do’s that I am asked by the husband as well to check on great deals with auto insurance sites available online. You see, you really need to put up a budget for these things, otherwise, you will be suprised with the cost. I can almost buy a “new bag” for the car registration and auto insurances of the cars. (hehehe).
Also in april will be the time to buy new stuff for the house. I can’t imagine we have accummulated so much garbage in our current place and so I do not want to bring it at all to the new house. I guess it would be the one of the most expensive months for us. Whoa!
Yes, summer is officially here. Can you imagine how fast the days are coming by? We haven’t officially started anything with any summer escapade or outing. I wonder where’s the best place to go where the kids can enjoy the beach or even just a pool. We need somewhere very near to the metro only. I read about Top Ten Things for kids to do in Outer Banks!!! Seems exciting but of course I can only dream about it, lol! We are just relying to friends who are planning for group outings so we can bring the kids to go swimming. I hope all plans push through! I wanted to hit the beach or pool! It’s getting irritating hot these days!
Margaux joined her classmates for a waterplay activity. Looks like the kids had a blast in that inflatable pool!
Then they played in the sand bar/playground and there Bianca joined them…
And then its time for Margaux’s advance birthday party in school! I just ordered in Mcdonald’s Spaghetti Meal with Burger Mcdo and Fries as well as a chocolate sundae. There was blowing of her birthday cake first. Then the kids enjoyed munching their food after.
O ordered director’s chairs with Princess design (for the girls) and Cars Design (for the boys) as her birthday souvenirs for her classmates. I just prepared also a small lootbags for the kids.
It was then a well-spent day for the little girl!
So the overly excited me strikes again. After hearing from husband that there’s a possibility to go to the US this year, here I am searching for what could be our itinerary. I’m suggesting that we land in JFK airport and have the time of our lives there first before going to California. If we are going to New York, we wanted to try the charter bus nyc. Any feedback on this? I heard they offer charter transportation to and from New York. With two kids in tow, I think we would need a reliable transport service that can make our stay in New York enjoyable. Based on reviews, NYC Bus Charters provides clean and well-maintained vehicles. They are also known for on-time service and the best part of it, they offer the lowest possible rates. They even have a 24-hour customer assistance. I am very particular for such since we would be travelling with our children. We want to make sure that we are riding a safe vehicle. From the review forums, they said the drivers are experienced and very courteous. And I have been wanting to ride those deluze motor coaches where they do provide lavatory, video and audio capabilities, PA systems and reclining seats. Can’t wait to have such trip like this!
I already need a haircut?

My hair has been growing unevenly already. And I always have to take time to blow dry or use a flat iron because it has a long regrowth from rebonding. Now I have been thinking to grow my hair and have the rebonded part cut. I want to get a long perm next time! lol! Let’s see how long could I wait.

The above pictures taken when we attended a wedding in Sonya’s Garden about 3 weeks ago.

Last night, while having dinner, without a blink of an eye, the husband said: “let’s have christmas in the US!” I was trying to compose myself but I just can’t help it since he can see me smiling from ear to ear. I do not want to conclude yet but I’m taking his offer with no joke. As I said to him: “you already knew my answer to that!” Now, it looks promising that we would be travelling to US within the year. No definite plans yet but it is something I would look forward to. I told him that I just need to finish my events for December so we could have a grand time. I dont want to sound too hopeful but let’s just see. Because at the back of my mind, there’s a part of me who wants to celebrate also our first christmas in the new house. But it would just be the best season to go there to reunite with friends and family. It has been a delayed planned trip since last year. I have been bargaining to go to East Coast as well so I think I need to research already on Things to do in New York, since its one of the destinations I want to hit there.
Good thing, CitySights NY offers a hop-on and hop-off bus tours via their double-decker busses. I’m sure we would have a blast in looking at the best views of the attractions of the New York City. The kids would pretty enjoy the harbour cruises, museum visists and of course the shopping day trips. Well, the shopping, I’m sure I would love it. At night, we would check out the amazing view of the lighted Manhattan skyline from Brooklyn waterfront. So if ever we would detour in New York, I am pretty sure I would check out what City Sights NY has to offer.
My brother got me convinced to share with him the Timesharing Membership he got from the worlds’s largest vacation timesharing group which is RCI. With his probbing and convincing, I got myself say yes and share with the cost of the membership. Instead of co-naming the membership to his wife, it was a wise take to make it under my name. We get to share the benefits of the membership as well which then can be extended to our respective families. We are now entitled for a one-week vacation/accommodation of our choice anywhere in the world for every year, plus the advantage of getting discounted rates from member resorts and hotels. The entitlement of the one-week vacation can also be accumulated if you wont be travelling for a year. And with that membership, a sign-up vacation amenities for one week can be used either in Bali Indonesia; Thailand; Malaca, Spain; Orlando, Florida; or Bohol. Now, it makes me thinking to use the Orlando Florida vouchers instead of our plans to go to Guam. I have been searching about available Orlando vacations and itineraries already. But I wonder if the husband would agree since this vouchers would only be available till May of this year. He felt that May could be too soon for us to go on one major vacation since we are moving place so I guess my brother’s family would be the one to use it instead. The only thing that the husband approved for travel as of last night is a HongKong Trip by November, in time for Bianca’s 3rd birthday. Let’s see, how good am I to convince him to add up one more on his list.
I just can’t get over the updates from the dreamhouse. As I said previously, we are just counting the weeks. The husband said he wants to move as soon as possible. I don’t know how can I manage to do packing up all our stuff and at the same time working on buying new items, plus I also have 4 events to go for this month!
Anyway, for the latest updates…
Wood Parquet flooring for the second floor….

I snagged this from Jane.
I’m tired of: being stressed from work!
I am listening to: Neo’s songs right now.
Maybe I should: try to rest as well.
I Wish: for good health always for my family.
Chocolate is: what I like to eat now.
I last ate: rice and lechon kawali
.
Right now I’m craving: chocolate cake from Mary Grace
Love is: my family.
Today: We are going to watch the stage play of Margaux and also meet a supplier to get the order of engagement rings of my clients.
Tomorrow: is another busy day.
Last week, the high ceiling windows look like this:
Yesterday, as I went to the site, this is what I saw…
All glass windows are being placed already. Cabinets are being fixed as well. In fact, that was the reason why I went to the site, to meet with the aunt and decide on the cabinet divisions. Apparently, the closet area is still not enough for all our stuff including clothes, bags and shoes. So I guess, we will be utilizing the guestroom cabinets as well. We also finalized the items included for customized furnitures. We made some revisions as we also wanted two tv stands to be customized in design.
I’m bad! I missed sending christmas cards to most of our friends and relatives abroad because we weren’t able to have a decent pictorial with the family to make it as our christmas card, like what we used to do before. And now that easter is coming, I am thinking to just send them online greeting cards to make up with all of them. I don’t think I could be able to do some writing and sending via snail mail some cards by April since we are gonna be so busy by then. Thanks to technology, we can still be in touch with our loves ones even miles away. It has already been widely accepted. And to make-up with our lost touch with them, I am browsing as early as now beautiful online cards to send so I can just pre-set the time to send it. At least it is a guarantee that they would get it on time now.
Here are some pics from the Dress Rehearsal Yesterday. Thursday is the Gala Night. Unfortunately, cameras are not allowed later so it would be a formal and undestructed play. Parents were only allowed to take pictures during the rehearsal.
It was a beautiful Tagalog Stage Play about the environment, (how to take care of the environment). Look at the stage of the Marian Auditorium, it was a career work of the CSC teachers! Fabulous!
Looking forward for the show tomorrow.
is the commitment of the workers to finish the dreamhouse. My gawd! That’s too soon already and we haven’t done any packing yet from our current place. We are just too busy also to check out appliances and furnishings for the house. Our heads are turning for the tremendous expenses. Anyhow, we just want to splurge for the best out there since its for the dreamhouse. This is our own, a place we call “Our Home.” Last weekend, I was able to go to the SM Homeworld sale in Megamall. Please do not ask how much I spent there since I bought about 3 comforter sets, 5 bedsheet sets, new down pillows, and new teflon pans. But these are all at 50% off so I guess its a better deal anyway (justifying!!!) Then I saw one theater seating couch in one of the home-theater store in the mall. I particularly like a black couch like a Berkline which I saw online. This could be perfect for our room. I’m sure the husband would be glad. But that can wait until his birthday on June.
Gee, counting now the days till we finally be moving!
Margaux will be participating in the annual stage play presented by the students (from First Step, Nursery and Kinder) of Miriam College Child Study Center. All parents were excited for the upcoming gala night this thursday. Apparently, tickets were sold out since last week. I was amazed how fast these tickets got sold. Parents lined up early to get their tickets and I thought I was already early at 8am but then was really suprised that I was already number 71 in line. Another parent commented that its like buying New York Yankees tickets on finale of a season. Today, they had a dress rehearsal. The play was beautiful, entitled “Huling Kagubatan.” Its about taking care of the environment. I had a great time watching the entire dress rehearsal and was also busy taking pictures and video of the little girl. It was our only time to use our cameras as it won’t be allowed come gala night. I will post her pictures when I get time.
