Obviously, I am busy again so that explains why I so lack some posts recently. There are just so many things happening in a day. Work has tremendously taking over but the kiddos are kinda sick so I also have to take care of them. Margaux’s fever has been in and out so we decided that we will be bringing her to pedia later. Bianca’s colds has been here for days. I need to forego first my task to buy auto insurance online, as what the husband requested me to do. I’m not sure if there are better options online anyway. But for now, will do mommy duties first…its a priority.

With just few weeks before we hit March, (official Summer month is here), have you thought already where would be your summer get-away?  I am not sure if we can still go for a quick beach trip this summer as we would be very busy by April to do some transferring to the new house.  But I still have high hopes we can.  Although, I don’t think my plan to go to El Nido, Palawan this year would happen this summer.  Maybe, we can just try it by September.  Anyhow, we still have plans to go on major International trips this year.  I wish we can still go to the US since we postponed it last Christmas season.  Well, it all depends to the husband’s final decision.  But this time, I am persistently requesting the husband that we should also pass New York City.  I want to experience the Eastcoast. And when we are there together with our toddlers in tow, I’m pretty sure we would avail the NYC Car service. So it would be accessible for us to move around the city and the surrounding suburbs especially that we have friends and relatives in New Jersey. I heard they offer affordable and on time service.  I am really praying we could still push through with this trip this year.

They are finishing all the ceilings of the 2nd floor and the ground floor. They are now working on the primer paint inside and out. Next week, the workers would start laying down the tiles in the comfort rooms. Granite tiles were also ordered for the flooring. They would also start assembling the glass windows. And starting next month, they would start the site development, meaning the perimeter walling of the entire lot. We decided to proceed in developing the lot next to us. We would already consider putting up the lawn and working on the landscaping of it, although that would cost a fortune again! We wanted it an-all go anyway. The husband is actually excited for it. He was telling me that he could already play his slot cars with our nephews in that lawn area.

Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone!

Last night, went home late coming from an event in Trinoma. I was guilty that I didn’t pay attention to husband when he called me on my cellphone as to what time I will be home. I actually went home almost midnight already and he was sleeping then. But I was suprised to see something beautiful for me…

Sweetness…he actually never fails in giving me flowers every Valentine’s Day. It says in his card: “Babes, dati dinadaan ko sa dami, ngayon…simple na lang para naman maiba pero puno pa rin ng pagmamahal!” Aw! Really appreciate it!

So how did you spend your valentine’s day? Well for us, nothing fancy. We went out to buy a new barong for him as we are attending a wedding in Tagaytay tomorrow. Then we went to Wilcon Depot in Libis as we are buying a shower set for our master’s bedroom. That was my Valentine’s Gift for him, for us actually. We saw some pet supplies as well. We are thinking if we would get a dog for a new house. But we are shelving the idea first.  Instead, I am glad we finally got the nice shower set which I have been meaning to get. I realized we didn’t even get to eat out. We just had lunch in SM.

I’m doing some backtracking so please pardon me.  Would just like to share my cousin, Jenny’s wedding last January 9, 2009.  You see, I was like the bride for this wedding, making all the preparations from the start.  But my cousin and her husband Howell was so easy to please.  The only thing that matters to them was that we would be allowed to bring in to the venue a number of drinks (hard, wine, beer) for the guests to enjoy the party.  Of course, I gave them the best-valued suppliers who are not skimping on their quality of service.  They had a great time and so as their kids.  And for us the guests, we enjoyed every moment of it.

It has been a while since I have been part of a wedding entourage so I was pretty excited to dress up.  I’m the candle secondary sponsor and Margaux was one of the flowergirls.

Preparations were made in Astoria Plaza.  I love the 2-bedroom suite which we got.  It was so spacious.  Look, we even had our manicures in the huge living room of the suite.  And we were there when Jenny got her suprise wedding gift from Howell.  The husband gave her a “tag heuer” watch.

All entourage (all my cousins) dressed up in the hotel so we had a grand time in our picture-taking with the bride. We also love the color of our gowns…it was so radiant and cheerful…pomelo orange!

And my little girl, Margaux was so pretty then…

We started on time with the ceremony in Christ The King Church.  And reception followed in The Mango Farm in Antipolo.  Guests were treated first for cocktails and souvenir photos from Bai Capture.  Then we all proceeded to the main hall for a night of partying!  Literally, we had a great, great time dancing with Sound Salad band and even after the last set of the band.  Drinks were overflowing so you can imagine how drunk the guests were.  Here are some more photos:

And from a wedding planner’s view…it was a beautiful union not only of the newlyweds but of two families.  It was indeed a great wedding!

Yeah, I know it’s Valentine’s already on Saturday, but I’m backtracking and just like to share our pics during the new year’s eve dinner at mother-in-law’s place…

We bought a number of fireworks from Dragon Fireworks for the new year’s eve.  Dicky said we would buy more next year as we celebrate the new year in the new house!

I finally have time to blog, well at least, to the minimum of just for few minutes. Although still busy, I took time to open my wordpress admin to write something. Last weekend was so stressful with 4 events that passed but gladly I survived it! Just busy for our association’s bridal showcase in Trinoma till tomorrow. It was just my 3rd time to go to this mall and I was suprised how big it was. Got the chance to move around last night and I got lost as to where I parked. Apparently, there are a number of on sale stores. I hope I could find time to shop also for a gift for the husband for valentine’s day. Can’t believe its already mid-February. Days are running fast and in no time, we will be moving to the new house!

Anyway, I am trying to revive my time to update all my blogs.  But my schedules are just erratic so please bear with me.  When I tried writing a while ago, I don’t even know where to start.   It’s so hard to bounce back.  I still have a lot of stories to tell and pictures to share.  I am hoping I can do a lot of backtracking soon.

A number of progress can be seen from the last time we went in the construction site.  In fact, I missed posting some of it.  Nevertheless, we are on track and on right schedule.  We are now very busy finalizing furnishings, getting measurements for the appliances we would get.  Decisions were made and finalized for all custom-made furnitures which we ordered.  It would take 45days for the furniture-maker to do everything for the living room, dining room and master’s bedroom.  At first, we wanted to just get those ready made furnitures, but we cant seem to find the right ones when we went to the mall.  If there are few pieces that we wanted, we were very suprised with its cost.  Aside from that, our interior designer (our aunt) suggested that we should just get custom-made furnitures.  Everything in the house will be thematic.  We are almost there.  Can’t just wait to see the final things and stuff!  Hope I can find time to share the sketches too.

We were deciding before if we would get wall fountains for the small foyer area. But then we just decided to use a big mirror on top of a foyer table. Even this one would be custom-made. As I am very particular with the color of the wood to use.

Some updates that I would like to share…

1. Staircase almost compelete. We changed the ones from the architectural plan of using steel bars, instead we opted to close it up.

2. We felt that it would be more “modern look.”

3. We also realized that it would also be safer for the kids, so they won’t climb up on steel bars (hmm, knowing my kids especially).

4.  This is exactly what will be our view from the master’s bedroom.  The view is just so comforting, especially that there are still no houses on our left.  (and the garden would be on this side) :-)

5.  About 2 weeks ago, we were so happy to see the complete roof trusses.

6.  Last week, roof insulations inside were done.

Now, this was the look of the dreamhouse when we saw it last weekend.

Yipee!  We are just so close to be coming home to the dreamhouse.  I heard, they are starting finishings inside the house, like painting the second floor.  Last thursday, we already chose the sinks, the showers, faucets and toilet bowls to use.  We really just can’t wait!!!

Margaux and her class had a trip to the nearby grocery from their school, in Shoppersville Katipunan.  The kids had fun moving around the supermarket finding items listed in their grocery list.  Margaux was partnered with her classmate, Tin-tin and it was just so cute to see them pushing that little push cart.  They were even asked to line up in the cashier and pay on their own.  In fact, they were also asked to try using the barcode scanners so they get the feel of becoming a grocery cashier. Cool!

So now, Margaux’s back to her favorite toy of the disney princess cash register.

Few pics from the trip…

was the color assigned to our family last christmas for our relatives reunion.  This is a delayed posting of a picture last christmas.  Apparently, this picture just came from my point and shoot camera.  Imagine, we haven’t dowloaded yet all the pics from the new dslr.  And it’s so pathetic that I don’t even have our complete family picture in my camera.  It’s still in the dslr memory card.  It was so hard to get a decent family picture then.  The kids were just all over the place.  This is the only one worth posting which I am not too happy as well.  I was like a wet-chick who just got off from the shower!  I barely even combed my hair!  Grrr!  But just look at my two beautiful and precious little girls in their “terno” outfit!  And where is the husband?  so busy flashing his dslr all over.  I just hope he would have a time to download already all pictures so I can also share those here.
