to blog about but I just want to take this time to be with my family. I am enjoying every bit of it. The kids are now so clingy to me and Dicky and they are just making us laugh all the time. I have so many stories to tell, so many happenings to share. I hope to get back in the groove of blogging next year.

Let me share the things I would want to write about so this could serve as a reminder for me as well for the first couple of weeks of next year…

1. Our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
2. The best christmas gift ever is finally in our hands.
3. A great deal we got regarding a no exam life insurance.
4. The husband gifts for me.
5. My “another” gift for the husband.
6. Update on dreamhouse
7. My special treats
8. Preparation for the new year celebration.
9. How great it is for us the year of 2008.
10. Things we look forward for 2009.

Enjoy the last day of the year with you loved ones!

were the words that came from Margaux and Bianca when they opened their gifts from Mommy and Daddy the evening of Christmas Day.

It was a heartwarming feeling just to see the simple joys in your kids eyes. I admit, I do tend to spoil them with toys or anything they would want to have. I just want to give them everything, which I never had when I was a kid. But I have no dissapointments about it, because it made me realize that I can work hard and achieve what I would want in life eventually. Now, my kids are reaping the rewards.   These things are my simple happiness as a mom!  And I don’t want it to be taken away from me.

The kids had a blast when they opened their gifts from Santa under the Christmas tree.  They opened it during the morning of christmas day itself. Getting gifts from Santa means a lot to them!

These are the items.  Santa Claus has some good tastes!  lol!

1.  The Barbie Doll House

2.  Barbie Living Room Set

3.  Barbie Pool Set

after christmas, I still have a hangover for too much partying during reunions with family and friends.  We spent well the christmas eve and the christmas day itself.  It was so much fun to be with the company of relatives.  The kids had a blast in opening the gifts from Santa and also the ones from mom and dad. (sorry pics were not downloaded yet).  We had a sumptuous feast of the noche buena and of course the potluck reunion with my side of the family.  Dicky and I also enjoyed opening our gifts from friends and family.  We also love our gifts to each other.  Will post about it next time.  The husband was so ecstatic on what I gave him.  Yes, he deserve another one aside from the dslr.  But he also gave me something nice and useful for me.  I love his gifts!  We also got a number of nice gifts for the future house.  Yes, friends and family knows that we are building the dreamhouse so they gave us interesting stuff for the house including an electric blanket would you believe?

I just love christmas because of a lot of christmas giving and receiving!  Don’t you just love both?

I wonder up to what number will be this dreamhouse update?  lol!

Anyway, we were so amazed on what we saw last weekend…

Wow, there are walls already. We were just so happy. We even went up to the second floor since they completed the flooring there already. We were able to visualize the size of the rooms, the comfort rooms and even the walk-in closet! Hahaha. I was giddy happy to see everything falling into place. The interior designer who happens to be our aunt was also there. We were planning already the orientation of the beds, the cabinets, and even the flat screen TVs! There were minor changes. It is actually expected all throughout the construction. I can’t believe that we need to decide on something almost every week. It is actually in accordance on how we plan the interior of the dreamhouse. That’s is basically an advantage since the contractor and the interior designer is a tandem team. The workers were not just putting things based on what has been designed by the architect, they were even considering the aesthetic inputs of the interior designer. We know exactly now where to put some paintings and even included a provision for aircon system at the ground floor. Since in no time, they would do some finishing, we are encouraging the contractor to get the workers their personal accident insurance already and hope that we won’t need any Lexington personal injury lawyer or whatsoever.

For the meantime, here are some more pictures…

4 more months!

You Are Gold Lights

Your holidays are a time of abundance and riches.

Even if you don’t have a lot during the rest of the year, this is the time that you splurge a little.

Your holidays traditions tend to be a bit old fashioned and dignified.

You like old holiday movies, properly wrapped presents, and family recipes passed down over the years.

before christmas, finally I’m done with all the christmas shopping!!! Whew! I completed everything today including what to prepare for noche buena and the christmas day. I also finally got the husband another gift. I really hope he would like it. Tomorrow, I would take time to wrap the gifts for the kids, which I bought from Richwell Sale. I have been hiding these toys in our store room.

I have been better since yesterday. No more colds, just cough but I wonder why I still have a husky voice. You have any idea what I should take to get my voice back? Would ginger tea be a good option? I also have few researches and writing to do including those about mesothelioma. I hope to finish everything by tonight as I would be in Christmas mode already starting tomorrow!

The second floor slabs/flooring have been completed. Next week, they would start putting on the walls. We are happy with the turnout of construction.

Dicky and I were inspired by Jon and Jane’s mansion (lol) when we went to their house during the MBAP christmas party. Dicky has all praises about their space. Thank God for blessings coming our way. This is the best christmas gift ever…

The lot next to the dreamhouse have been settled already yesterday!  Our broker found the owner of the lot next to ours and we were informed that they were interested to sell it instead.  Opportunity like this is very seldom.  We are totally not ready but Thank God for paving the way.

The kids will now have one whole lot to play around as our lawn area. And we are going to host one of the MBAP’s future get-togethers, promise! (hehehe). I’m sure we would be happy to host a lot of parties with family and friends when it’s finally complete!

GOD IS SO GOOD!

I am very sick.

Bad cough and colds plus high fever.

I hope this is not something serious.

Jacqui arrived early in Glorietta Makati. I arrived almost 1pm so we just decided to shop first. We met up again at 4pm in Oody’s Greebelt 3 to have our very late lunch. Joy followed after around 430pm.  We then decided to move to Coffee Bean to have our desserts. Jacqui treated us for coffee and slices of cake. In just a quick chat, we were able to talk about a lot of things already. Then Peachy came with the whole family.  We saw the cute Dominique the first time.  And bilib ako kay Mommy Peachy because she was carrying lang Dominique the whole time.  We decided to check the LV store in Greenbelt 4.  It was Joy’s first time to enter and she just exclaimed “ang bango naman dito!”  We were so noisy inside the store.  She then looked at the speedy 30, neverfull MM and GM.  I think she likes the GM better.  No, but she didn’t buy yet.  It was Peachy’s sister who bought a Speedy 30 Monogram and a wallet I think.  Ang yaman!  Hehehe.

Then we moved to Gucci store.  We learned that few selections were 15% off.  I almost bought a wallet.  But I also went home empty-handed.  Thank goodness I was not brain-washed by Jacqui!  Hehehe.

These were our pictures…

And Dominique’s first mall out…in the LV store…

is my destination now. Will be picking up the cousin and her whole family. Can’t wait to see all of them especially the kids. My kids will have new playmates for weeks. And gosh, I’m the official driver, chaperon for all their errands.

She’s lucky to have me as her cousin. lol! She’s getting married in January. It’s all about my labor of love!

Snagged from Aggie

1. What’s too spicy for your tastes?
I actually not so fond of spicy foods.  I don’t like curry flavored dishes.

2. What’s too sweet for your tastes?

Oh, I love sweets a lot so I actually do not complain.  All sweet food are just right for me.

3. What’s too salty for your tastes?
Patis (fish sauce).  I’m not so fond of it.

4. What’s too bitter for your tastes?
Ampalaya!

5. What’s too sour for your tastes?
Sampaloc!

Gee, blogging about these food memes makes me think do I really need some diet supplements? I only have a month to look fab in a secondary sponsor gown for my cousin’s upcoming wedding on January. I wouldn’t tell what happened during the first fitting last week! Lol!

After one month of construction, the dreamhouse looks like…

Still puro “poste!”  Hehehe!

But nevertheless, we are very happy with the progress. Notice the slabs on one of the rooms on the second floor. We are expecting that by next week, we can completely see the slabs on the whole upper floor. We are scheduled to meet the interior designer next week so we can plan ahead the furnishings.

Can’t believe its already friday and I still have tons of work.  I wanted to make the most of the weekend since I do not have events lined up for two days.  I just want to rest!  But I don’t think it would happen.  The husband is asking me to check out the malls and look for Zero Halliburton briefcases as he plans to give it to a valued client. I wonder if they have something like it in Rustans.  Well, I remember that I am still not done with my list so for christmas gift so I better work on it over the weekend as well.  The list just don’t stop.  In fact, i have been adding names everytime.  Expenses, expenses!  Don’t you just wish that the heavens will open up its door and shower us some moolah, or wish that money can just be picked out from trees?  lol!

Anyway, happy weekend everyone!

This is the resort owned by Ricky Reyes. We are just supposed to go for a day tour in this resort located in Calatagan, Batangas last sunday. We intend to just go back in Tagaytay in the evening and stay in the resthouse of Dicky’s uncle. Apparently, the resort was about an hour and a half drive still from Tagaytay so we decided to just stay overnight there. We had a number of pictures from the new dslr, apparently, I haven’t downloaded it yet. So I’m just leaving you with few pictures here from the PS camera.

Our villa…

There are so many activities to do there…

The pool area has a giant slide.  (but sorry wasnt able to take pics of that)

It’s just great to squeeze in a quick getaway despite our busy schedules.

is all about this week.  You can tell from the minimal posts I have for the past couple of days.  Seems like everything was deadline yesterday.  A corporate event is killing me.  Well, I shouldn’t complain because they are paying me a lot which can definitely add to my christmas budget.  But I just got pissed yesterday when the promotional products I ordered for their party was rejected! I just broke down in tears as I have been working hard to have it done in time for the party next week. Now, I have to doubly work hard and closely monitor that the artist gets the right color for their logo. I’m sure next week would be a whole lot more stress, with that party coming up, some other weddings and a cousin from Canada who will arrive also next week in time for her wedding on January, my calendar is so filled up. Just thinking about it makes me tired already. I hope I could get by. God help me!

The progress…

They are now working on the second floor.  The posts are all up.  Notice how high would be the flooring of the first floor.  We intended to really be few steps above the main road.  There was a decision made over the weekend.  I hope things would push through.  Crossing our fingers now!  It would be indeed a dreamhouse!

for the husband is an early christmas present…

We bought a Nikon D60 last saturday after coming from a party in TGI’s Friday in Bonifacio High Street.  Without thinking again, I immediately puchased the dslr that’s within my budget.  I also don’t have the patience to go to Hidalgo in Manila so I opted for what Abie suggested for a store in Pasong Tamo named JT Photo World. I was also informed by most of the wedding photographers that they do get their cameras, lenses and even printouts from this store.

At first, the husband was hesitant to get one but I told him that it would be one of my christmas gifts for him so we better get it already. Rates are actually not so different from the Hidalgo stores. I didn’t have to get a 0% cash advance from my credit card since JT Photo World accepts card purchases.  This is good because we are actually saving up for miles points.

Also got the a tamrac bag for the camera.

The camera was “sulit” for our quick getaway from sunday till yesterday. The husband is learning the ways of the cam but he was all happy to get one. It actually didn’t leave his shoulders most of the time. He never bothered to use our sony point-and-shoot digital camera.

Will post his shots soon, after I figure out how!  lol!
