Topic No. 1: Life After the Wedding – the Married Life.
What are the things you want them to know about life after the wedding?
As a wedding planner, I am also confronted with this question most of the time when my bride becomes a friend already. In some sort, I become a confidant. As I have always said to most of them, I wouldn’t trade my current state with anything else. I think I made the right decision to marry my husband. We both agreed on this. They said that Marriage is not a bed of roses. I have a different take on this because for me, it is a bed of roses. Call me overly optimistic but that’s exactly how I felt about it from the day of our wedding right at this moment. The wedding day for me is an understatement of what marriage is all about. If you were extremely happy and flying in the clouds on your wedding day, life after the wedding or the marriage itself is something better. I guess this matters most if you married the right person. And for me, I did. We are already on our 6th year and I love everyday about it. Not to mention that I am also looking forward to each and every day in the future. In fact, fights have decreased when we got married unlike the times when we were just bf-gf.
Some points I’d like to share:
1. My husband is a very understanding man, and he actually taught me on how to become as well.
2. We have set aside what we want each other to become instead, we are honoring our own capabilities to make the best out of our marriage.
3. We are not pushing ourselves to change for each other because even if we have our own weaknesses, we have learned to love and embrace those weaknesses.
4. We do not dictate nor expect each other to do things for one another, instead we are thankful and appreciative for the little gestures that show how much we love each other.
5. We do not put each other down whenever we losses some battles, instead we uplift our spirit and boost our confidence.
6. We never point out fingers as to who’s at fault or wrong, instead we acknowledge our own wrongdoings and we are always very forgiving.
7. And most importantly, we compliment each other and we know very well how to compromise.
Marriage life is a bliss and that’s what should be in our minds so we experience it ourselves instead of just thinking the other way around.
Today is not wednesday but I missed posting this the first time. I am joining Mich and Aggie as well on this new tradition. The tradition’s purpose is to blog every Wednesday at least 10 things or events that define happiness to me and my life. This would make me realized how much blessed I am. Over battles, there are always thriumps to win and this is perfect for the theme of this blog, “In This Game of Life.”
So for the first week, my happy thoughts are:
1. Wonderful family (precious!)
2. Married my loving and responsible boyfriend of 4 years and now we are counting our married life together. We were six years already last May.
3. Beautiful and Healthy Daughters
4. Great Friends who never fail to inspire me
5. Stable career for me and husband.
6. I love my job!
7. Playing with the kids
8. Taking a bath with the kids
9. Going to the mall with my family today!
10. Hearing mass tomorrow with the whole family!
I changed currencies yesterday since I am preparing for our upcoming trip to Singapore. I went to my usual currency dealer and found out that they are also a coin dealer. I found out that coin dealers are usually purchasing gold and other precious metals from Monex Deposit Company (MDC). The company offers personal delivery service. My currency dealer said that actually find MDC very good in customer service cause they can even arrange for safe storage in some independent bank. They have been dealing with the company for a couple of years now. In terms of stability, they said MDC has been in the industry for more than 30 years already. Why am I learning all of these? Cause my dealer is convincing me to go in to thi kind of trade. I have totally no knowledge of such business but as far as I know these investment products like gold, silver and platinum are actually available in coin or ingot form. So these coins have currency value and they said this is the best time to buy and invest on such products. I’m not sure if I’m willing to take the risk but my currency dealer said that MDC can actually assist every step of the way.

Yes, I am in fantastic mood! It’s a weekend and feel excited since I can be with family today and tomorrow. No work! Yahoo. I’ll be back in working mode by Monday. We would go malling this afternoon. Buy new crocs for Margaux that she can use for school. Will also be meeting up with MBAP Friends. I’m sure lots of coffee to drink and stories to tell. Would be missing some who cannot come but I’m pretty excited that I’ll get more tips from the gurus! (wink, wink!)

This stint could probably land me some jobs in the beauty industry anywhere from coast to coast since there’s a new online-job search related to beauty industry. I believe the site is a good footing for those who are qualified job seekers to be connected to salon and spa owners. Employers can actually choose easily and screen applicants right at the comfort of their office while browsing online applications from their computer.
I studied basic make-up application under Shu Uemura’s local in-house make-up artist Claire Seelin last August 2005. Claire was my bride before so when I asked her if she can teach me on her expertise, she gladly accepted. I was with my good friend, Cheann here who was about to go to Sydney that time. We had a month session of the entire course and we pretty learned well. In fact, now that I know basic make-up application, I can manage to touch up my brides in case the make-up artist won’t be around until the reception.
