With Dicky’s new movement for job, we are now thinking to sell Black Beauty. She is my chevy black optra. Dicky will be given a service SUV from his new company so we won’t be needing 3 cars! He would actually hand me his CRV instead. But we are also considering selling both the chevy and the CRV to buy a brand new car! I can’t get over getting a Toyota Fortuner! I wonder though how much is the insurance for this kind of brand new vehicle. I wish there is something like American Car Quotes in the country, which you can actually give you variety of options for insurance policies that would suit your need in just one sitting. Only one form to fill out and all information will be sent to companies that can match your insurance need. What a hassle-free process.

American Car Quotes would definitely give you the best cost possible for any insurance requirement. Of course, this is one of the main concern most of the time, getting the lowest cost possible. But you also do not want to compromise your safety for anything else that is why this is essential in choosing the right policy, which can also be handled by American Car Quotes. I really wish there could be something available like this here, especially when our need for it arises.  But for the meantime, we are still considering options whether to buy a new car or push through in building the dreamhouse already this year.  Let’s see after few months!

Thanks to Jacqui (congrats also for being the OIC now!) for arranging a despedida party for my husband, Dicky. Most of the Bayan Business Personnel from the bosses to the AMs, were there. Of course, I was there too. Dicky brought me along. Buti na lang! lol! (cause, they were planning some naughty thing for him!) Since I was there, it was all wholesome!

The party was held at “I love 80′s cafe” in  Ortigas, near the MC Home Depot.  Dicky was actually given some honoring by his colleagues both from Bayan and also from their clients.  They invited most of the partners that their group is handling.  All of them said good words about him.  Sad that he was leaving and surely be missed but they were also happy and very supportive of his decision.

Some pictures…

And I was also asked to do an honoring for him and a (body shot!) Yay!

I’m sure Dicky would also miss his whole team, who actually won as the Best Sales Team for the Bayan Business Division.

(Picture above was featured in The Philippine Star last Monday, July28 under Business Section)

“Channels and Partners Team – Best Sales Team, Bayan Business Division

The Bayan Business Channels an Partners, headed by Roderick Liwanag, scored 113.92% EBITDA achievement over target with 84% AR performance.”

He starts officially in another company by Friday, August 1.  A whole new responsibility!

Let’s see how we can have this breakfast ‘menu’ travelled all around cyberspace and learn what each blogger living in different country and what they eat for breakfast. Would like to share Margaux’s CheongSam costume last thursday for their Book Day Asia activity. They were requested to come in asian countries costume. It was so easy to get the cheongsam so that’s the best I could get, which I also bought from Singapore.

She has really been enjoying school so far and I’m one happy mom. And with Dicky being on leave since last week, I am also on leave for picking her up everyday, just simple blessings!

And I have been enjoying the fact that Dicky is around most of time. We can just lounge around and play with the kids together. But this won’t last. In fact, by Friday, he is back to work so we are taking advantage of his free time for pampering. Last night, we had a footspa. Today, we are heading to Suriya Spa for a massage! And he even wants to have a facial. Will see if that can still be squeezed in our time. He said he read some new acne treatments available from this new facial salon. It’s not that we need it, we just want to try the new facial salon near our place.

Since I was affected with the G dance, I am now thinking if I should create a new one? I wonder if I can still manage a fourth one! Gosh, it could be torture to myself. But I don’t want to say my last piece as I envy, ok the word should be admire those who can manage to stay afloat and maintain more than 4 blogs. You know who you are girls. You are all my idols. If ever i would create a new one, I would definitely get a new domain and would not host it to those free flatform. I would rather get a cheap web hosting available from Hosting Metro. They offer Personal Plan at a very low price. They do have a Value Plan and a Power Plan as well. You are sure that they are a well trusted web hosting company cause even if others have folded up, their company has withstand long term service to clients since 1998. They monitor and maintain their own servers and purchase their bandwith from reputable providers. They have technical support 24/7 with effecient technical personnel. They are known to provide really affordable webhosting solutions coupled with reliability, stability and good customer service. Ok, I am not sure yet though if I would push through with my plan to create another one. I wanted to maintain quality blog wherein I can get good readership because of my quality posts. I am going back to the basic why I created my blogs, just to share my thoughts, my plans, my activities. It is actually making me happy!

I just want to share an inspiring text message I got this morning…

The mind of GOD is different than the thoughts of man.  As we follow Him, we discover that we…

Lose to gain…

Surrender to win…

Die to live…

Give to receive…

Serve to reign…

Scatter to reap…

In weakness, we are made strong…

In humility, we are lifted up…

In emptiness, we are made full…

Have a great week ahead everyone!

Again, happy weekend!

Our 3rd day was Sentosa Day. We went there in the morning so we can finish it by lunch time. I was still not done with my shopping so I really insisted to go back to the city already by lunch. We had breakfast in Kopi Tiam in Shaw Center then we headed to Harbourfront MRT Station. From there, we followed directions leading us to ride a cable car. It was one great experience. Although, we rode one already in Ocean Park in HK, feeling ko mas mahaba ang trip ng cable car dito.

We got off the Imbiah Station in Sentosa Island. From there, we took the Luge going down the Beach Station. Wow, I love the luge, I want another one nga but dicky said no more. One is enough daw but in their signages there, it says that “one is not enough!” It was so fun.

We stayed in the Beach Station for a while and took the tram to go to Siloso Beach. Got off the tram for more picture taking. Then went back to the station again to ride the skyride going up to Imbiah again. But too bad that we wasn’t able to watch the Songs of the Sea. I heard it is one of the great attractions there. Dicky wanted to go back in the evening, but I refused as I again, I preferred shopping better. (lol)

From Imbiah, we went to the Merlion lookout, of course for more pictures.  Sentosa is a good place to really take pictures.  And since it was a wednesday, there were very few people who were there.

By lunch time, we  were on our way back to the city.  We took the Sentosa Express and got off Vivo City Mall.  We had lunch in Food Republic there and strolled around and bought few items in the said mall.  It is actually a big mall with Tangs inside.  I saw they were selling some body jewelry also. But never took chance to look at it closely.

At 4pm, we went back to the hotel to bring down our stuff. I changed to more comfortable clothes and went to DFS Galleria, Takashimaya and Paragon alone. Dicky preferred to stay in the hotel and just had an enjoyable bath in the tub!, while I was cramming in shopping alone. We just met  infront of Paragon Mall at 915pm and Dicky was suprised that I was carrying 3 shopping paper bags! Hihihi. I just smiled and walked away.

We had dinner in Newton Hawkers Center. Chili crabs again for our last night in Singapore! We were back in our hotel at almost 11pm. Packed our luggages and slept right away.  We left our hotel the following morning at 730am for our 1030am departure back to Manila.

Finally, the day 2 of our Singapore Trip.

Since we went to the Visitors Information Center in Orchard on our first day, we were able to figure out our way for our tour on the 2nd day: Singapore Zoo and Night Safari. But we decided to go there after lunch so we were able to still go around some malls again along Orchard Road. We went to Tangs and Shaw Center to buy some clothes and kids accessories. Since the nearest area for us to eat will be the Food Republic in Wisma Atria, we again had lunch there and tried satay and laksa this time.

After lunch, we went back to hotel to freshen up and put down the items we bought. We decided to hop one of the city tour buses on our way to Singapore Zoo. This is what’s good with Singapore. They do have city tour buses which can bring you to their great sightseeing attractions in the country. This is very like those New York City Tours, which offers hop-on, hop-off bus tours using new double-decker buses with top-deck-only seating to provide great view of the whole New York City. Although, I haven’t seen a bus like this in Singapore. It could have probably been a wonderful experience as well. Anyway, will just try it to a visit in New York if ever we will get a chance. Because we want to include packages like harbor cruises, museum visits and of course the shopping day trips. We can include these in our itinerary. And like our visit in Night Safari of Singapore, it would also be great to join a night tour where we can see the spectacular skyline of Manhattan from Brooklyn waterfront. Do you notice how much I enjoy travelling?  I am talking about another trip!  (I wish!)

Anyway, going back,  we hopped on the bus right infront of our hotel in Scotts road because it was the exact route of the bus on the way to Singapore Zoo. Since we were there on a wednesday at 2pm, very few people were inside the zoo so we were able to manage to enjoy the whole place as we moved around. We also hop on the tram and saw some shows like the elephant at play and the sea lion show. I enjoyed the elephant show but not much the sea lion one. I feel the sea lion and dolphin show of Zoobic Safari is even better. Much more better the one from Ocean Park and the ones we saw from the US.

We finished rounding up the whole Singapore Zoo at 530pm. We went to the souvenir shop to just buy few items then walked our way to the Night Safari, which is just right next to the zoo. We decided to take our dinner in Ulo-Ulo Restaurant in Night Safari and enjoyed our Big Chili Crab.

I think there were more people in Night Safari than in Singapore Zoo since it is indeed their best attraction. We rode the 45-minute tram ride and they were very particular about “no flash photography!” They kept on repeating it since there were few who were really not following.

We didn’t bother to explore the treks cause Dicky doesn’t want and I also felt the same way. After the tram ride, we went to watch the Creatures of the Night show in the amphitheater. This one I like. It was a good show since they also have a very bubbly singaporean girl as a host.

We finished the tour around 10pm and we then hopped again the bus on the way back to the city. We went down right in front of our hotel again. Perfect location! It was a tiring day and was expecting that the 3rd day will be more exhausting since technically like our last day because our flight last friday was early morning. So you can imagine, how much I crammed in shopping on the 3rd day.

Some of our 2nd day pictures…(warning: picture overload)

3rd day coming up soon…

Today, Dicky is officially out of work for now.  Yes, you read it right.  He already resigned effective today from Bayan where he worked for more than 6 years.  We never thought that it was coming and never realized that it is a decision he/we have to face.  When we were in Singapore, we did a lot of discernment and prayed hard for it.  We believe that this is where the Lord is leading him.  We asked for signs and it was given to us in a SILVER platter, more than what we have expected.  So no matter how risky it will be, (my husband is so good in calculating risks anyway) he took the plunge and now taking on the challenge.

Effective August 1, he will now be the new VP (yes, vice president!–> and I can I just be the PROUDEST wife?!) of DigitelOne, a local telco company.  He has no regrets, even if other people are saying otherwise.

In life, we cannot please everybody but we make our OWN DESTINY.  The only thing that was holding him back before is the relationships he has built with people from Bayan.  But he made the decision already and I’m here to support him all the way up to his corporate career.

To my dear husband, congratulations!  I’m so proud of you!

I took chocolate as a breakfast! My gosh, what’s happening to me?! Yum yum yum, Gertrude Hawk chocolates from my friend who recently arrived from abroad gave me. Ok, its gourmet chocolates, could that be an excuse? Ok, fine if it is still not acceptable. I ate a whole bar already anyway. Because this Gertrude Hawk Chocolate is the most delicious gourmet chocolates, which include dark chocolate, (my favorite!), chocolate Smidgens®, caramel dipped apples, chocolate covered cherries, chocolate covered pretzels, fresh fudge, sugar-free candy and truffles. Ah, it would make you crave for more! Its even chocolatier since it uses the freshest ingredients. My dessert came first thing this morning, above all the rest of the meals. Now, who is taking about diet? Lol!

My dad is fretting yesterday about his worn out bar stool. Actually, I can feel he was a bit pissed because the leather of the stool was peeled by my good little girl Bianca. But being a lovable grandfather, he cannot scold my daughter. So I just said that I would buy him a new one. And I almost forgot that I failed to give him something last Father’s Day. Bad me. So as a gift, I am buying him a new Bar Stool. This morning, I was browsing pictures of new and modern design of bar stools and came across the site of Quality Barstools. It is a leading manufacturer of bar stools and offers it online at a discounted price. They can also customize any stools by choosing your own preferred fabric and metal finish options. Well, most of the bar restaurants are also ordering from them cause they can also handle commercial projects but not limited to it since they can also deliver for residential purpose. They have metal and wood bar stools but my dad prefers to still stick to his preference before, which is the metal one. I think he is going for the retro style swivel bar stool with back.

We arrived in NAIA 1 before 5pm which is less than 2 hours before our scheduled flight of 635am via Cebu Pacific.  It’s been a while since we last flew using NAIA 1.  We have been loyal PAL customers.  But since we got this fare for the Php 0 of Cebu Pacific, we’ve got no complaints at all.  I lined up to pay the Philippine Travel Tax while Dicky lined-up already to check-in.  In a breeze, we were already inside, done with all documentations.  We had breakfast first and waited for the announcement for us to proceed for boarding.  We were happy that the flight was on time.   I felt relieved after reading a lot of horror stories with Cebu Pacific.  But not on our case as we also arrived in Budget Terminal of Changi Airport, 10 minutes than our ETA at 10am.

DISCLAIMER: I am not preggy on this picture! I wonder why I was holding my tummy!
what's with the tummy?budget terminal of sgp

We headed out to get our luggages from the carousel.  We got few brochures and information flyers from the Singapore Tourism Board.  We changed few dollars in the airport then proceeded in riding the shuttle to bring us to Terminal 2 where we would ride the MRT to the city.

boarding the train to the cityon board the train

Their train system was so efficient and easy to understand.  Very much like HK.  We bought our EZlink cards and we immediately hopped the next train to Orchard Road.  Our hotel was just a block away from the MRT station.  In no time, we arrived in Royal Plaza on Scotts, our hotel by 11am.

It was so good that they allowed us to check in right away and even upgraded us to the Premier Floor.  Dicky and I were both looking forward for this trip.  I, for one is looking forward to the shopping.

Day 1 Itinerary:

+ After resting for an hour, we headed out to eat lunch in Food Republic in Wisma Atria (walking distance from our hotel)

+ After lunch, we strolled inside Wisma Atria.

+  We moved to Lucky Plaza to change some more dollars and bought few items here (Margaux’s Cheongsam, Dicky’s Neckties and Perfumes)

+ We went to Visitor Information Center farther down Orchard Road to ask about Singapore Zoo, Night Safari and Sentosa.  We then figured out how to get to these places.

+ Went back to our hotel to rest.  On our way back, we bought the famous ice cream in a sandwich!  Yummy sya ha!

+  Saw Paragon Mall and Takashimaya and seemed like they were calling me since I saw LV and Gucci there, but Dicky directed my eyes and said, we are not going inside those malls yet.

+ Took a bath and rested for a while then we headed out again to ride an MRT and went down City Hall Station.  We followed the map to reach Esplanade and also walk around Raffles St.

+ Went to Citylink Mall and ate our dinner in one of the restaurants, which I totally forgot. I think they were serving Thai food there.

+ As a dessert, we bought Kaya Toast from Kopi Tiam.  We also bought some breads in breadtalk that served as our breakfast the following day.

+ We then went to Funam Digital Mall as Dicky was looking for an external drive and a CAT6.  But we didn’t bought one as when we computed, it is almost the same price as what you could get from IT shops here.

+ Went back to the hotel via MRT again around 10pm.

I am just swamped with work but I can’t help but also take a sneak peek at the different Forums from Thoughts.com. The topics are actually interesting, where in you get to meet a lot of different people and learn about their different thoughts and views on certain issues. A friend is actually asking me on how to start her own blog. I actually recommended to her to check Thoughts since it very comprehensive to a newbie blogger. This is the beauty of internet technology. You get to commmunicate what’s on your mind by blogging about it. You can share pictures or even video for some people to comment on. But I still believe in responsible blogging. That’s why in Thoughts.com, you can have the option to decide to make public or private each post you make. You can also decide that it can just be viewable by your friends. The community forum is comprehensive and you can chat with sensible people around there who also use the flatform of Thoughts. The blog that you can create here can allow you to organize and upload photos, share podcasts and even post in forums. The site is free and its members are growing quickly.

Last weekend, Margaux was telling me that they used a computer in their school last week. I was amazed that as early as Nursery, students are exposed already to computer knowledge. She said teacher taught them the different parts of a PC. I was suprised to learn that she knows already the screen, the keyboard, and the mouse and was even saying that they played the computer using the internet.  Advance technology has prove to be an advantage now making kids learn easily the value of it. There are companies like Trillion, which provides broadband wide area network services and voice over IP services for Kinder up to Grade 12 education using a Priority One E-rate. I remember first touching a computer when I was in grade 6! But now, as early as 3 years old, kids are exposed to the use of computer and even internet.  Amazing!

The new website of my company will be launched soon. I’m excited about it cause Joy did a very good job on it. It is wordpress-based so easy to manage unlike my previous site that’s why it is so hard to update. But now, I’m hoping I can easily update everything in pictures, stories and other stuff. In fact, I instructed Joy to create free online surveys and polls in the site. Easy-Poll is an alternative to make easy and effective way to add online service for any website to make it more interactive. No need for own database, no software or IT support needed. Everything is managed and calculated on their servers. They also offer 100% Free Counters & Best Statistics for any website. It only takes two minutes to sign up and create surveys and polls. And it also works on different platforms. I might really use their services for the new website.
