I was reading Aggie’s post regarding her kids especially the one of Martha. She has the same antics like Margaux. She is also an “ALING MARGAUX.”

She would say whenever inside the car:

To Dicky: “I want fast car daddy!”

To Me: ” Cayful Mommy!”

I think you can see what kind of driver am I!!!

When planning for any vacation, I am always very particular about the hotel we are staying in. And knowing how much effort I put into it, my aunt who stays in Australia plans to tour the US this year is asking for my help. She called me this morning requesting for my assistance to help her check some United States Hotels for their upcoming trip this august.  I actually told her to check cheaperthanhotels.com.au since it’s a site that offers the lowest rate guaranteed.  They have been providing online reservation services for more than 10 years already and have been a premier site that completed about 300 million travel transactions per year.

She knows that when we travelled 2 years ago, I painstakingly researched on San Francisco Hotels since the bridal fair I joined in was in the city. We actually had no regret that we stayed in Marriot Hotel that time.

My aunt doesn’t want to bother so much of our relatives in California so she said that I should also check for them some Los Angeles Hotels. She plans to travel with her husband for a good of just 3 weeks stay and if they can still manage to squeeze in their schedule, I would definitely tell her to also stay in one of the New York Hotels.

A lot of people are asking as to what is my gift for my husband. I literally didn’t prepare anything actually except that I bought him already a polo in Debenhams as per his request last weekend. Besides I’m also the one paying for our hotel in Singapore next month. Aside from that, I also shopped online for him last week. I got an airclimber which I hope he would really use so he could lose weight and also a wheeled golf bag cover. The golf bag cover would be timely for him to use for the Las Vegas golf outings that him and my brother-in-laws are preparing for December. One of Dicky’s ultimate wish as well is to play golf in Rhodes Ranch Golf Club in Vegas, which is just minutes away from the fabulous strip. The course offers a unique blend of challenge and playability for golfers which Dicky has been looking in a golf course. I bet we would exceed our allowed baggage allowance since we would be bringing his whole golf club. Aside from what I heard from the news that effective July 1, baggage allowance for international travel will be reduced to 50lbs. It’s a big cut of 20lbs per luggage! Well, I hope atleast the whelled cover would make it easier for him to drag it around.

You Will Be a Cool Parent
You seem to naturally know a lot about parenting, and you know what kids need.

You can tell when it’s time to let kids off the hook, and when it’s time to lay down the law.

While your parenting is modern and hip, it’s not over the top.

You know that there’s nothing cool about a parent who acts like a teenager… or a drill sergeant!

Ok, I’m one crazy mommy who cried this morning cause my daughter Margaux didn’t cry anymore in going to school!  Hooray!
Tears of joy!

As we are up for a quick vacation for singapore next month, I have also been thinking if we can still afford another trip to the beach. I heard so many things about the Shangrila Hotels in Kota Kinabalu so I have been researching some more as to when is the best month to go there. Although I also heard about Playa Norte Isla Mujeres in Mexican Carribean. I love what I saw about Ixchel Beach Resort Hotel. It is an ideal place for the relaxing weekend getaway or a romantic honeymoon retreat. It offers luxurious amenities, outstanding service and a tranquil atmosphere to completely relax and enjoy a Mexican vacation. According to what I read, it is the most beautiful and most convenient location to soak in the sun and experience this amazing island. Now, it makes me more think.

I’m so thankful for a husband

Who cares for me so

And for all the love

To me that you show

You’re there for me

When I feel down

You always stand behind me

And bring me around

Thank you for standing behind me

In all that I do

I hope you’re as happy with me

As I am with you

When I’m down in the dumps

You always bring me back

With your magical touch

You know how to make me laugh

You’re the best

I’m glad I’m your wife

I don’t know what I’d do

If you weren’t in my life

Not only, your the best husband, but the best dad as well…

HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABES!

Won’t you wish owning properties like the one above? Lovely! I can just lie around and be a queen in that house. It’s fully furnished with a covered pool.  There is nothing wrong in dreaming anyway. The above pictures were one of the Florida villa sales available from BardellRealEstate, which is a specialist for new and resale villas and vacation homes, retirement homes and residential property in Florida. Not to mention that this property is very near Orlando Disneyland. My kids would definitely love staying here.  Maybe we can stay here every summer, lol!  These are just my greatest dreams.

Thanks Eds for remembering me through this prayer.

Very timely as I would also like to seek and spread the word regarding the current ordeal of one of my husband’s officemates who needs to raise money of 4 Million Pesos within 3 months for the liver transplant of his daughter Yuki that should happen in Taiwan. Click here to know more about Yuki’s appeal for good health. Maybe you can also be one of her heroes. I’m sure the family would greatly appreciate whatever help you can extend. A simple prayer would actually do as well.

Dear God, we pray for the quick recovery of all the sick and the dying especially those suffering from LUPUS and CANCER. And also for the successful operation and recovery of Yuki. Amen.

How’s that? Gasoline prices soaring so high! I almost fall out of my car when I saw it this morning. Good thing my doors are locked! Lol. They said it’s even going to go up some more! Gee, I should manage my daily route itineraries efficiently so I could maximize the use of my car. Well, I gave a thought if I could just sell my car and buy something in diesel instead. The husband and I have been discussing it few months back. Maybe I should check from the auto loan calculator of up2drive. They are the very known auto loan specialist that finances all makes and models. Well, we just want to check if we can afford to sell my chevy and buy a more gas-saving car. Well as far as I know, they don’t have any hidden costs nor application fees so it would really be worth it to check a good rate from them.

As I mentioned in my other post that my balikbayan box is Almost Full, I spent my stormy sunday in purchasing some more products online. Thanks to great merchants who has authorize.net features, which means they can accept online payments through credit cards. My box will be on its way by end of the month! I can’t wait to get hold of my purchases. I really can’t wait!

Gee, internet connection is bad these days. So slow! Could it be the rain? Or PLDT just sucks with their service? Or I’m also thinking if this problem could be because of the used cisco router connected with Amanda? I’m no techie so I’m figuring out as my husband helps me in looking into it. My dsl is so erratic. I hope the service would improve tomorrow

here at home, the husband has been hooked watching DVDs and sports channel. I can’t argue more that he has some baseball picks. I’m not into any of the ball games but I have to settle on listening to what he has been mentioning about some free football picks and free nfl picks. He’s been wanting to watch these games in big fields. But for now, he’s settled in just watching it on TV.

I think I have mentioned before in my other blog as to what kind of couple we are in terms of money matters. I have not been very good in savings so I need a little assistance on that aspect. Although I am leaving behind something for me in the future, it has come to the point that I want to invest on “somethings” or at the very least save some more.

So last week, the husband and I have been making plans on how I could achieve my financial goals. He is actually very good at that. Thank goodness he is, there’s a balance between us. I also have plans of growing my business and making more businesses. He helped me in working on my own “excel files” as what we call it. And I’m very happy about it. I could see a light at the end of the tunnel. Hahaha. So officially, I have agreed that the husband would be my new financial adviser. As he came on board just this week, he seems very serious on putting me down on track. I’m gladly accepting it, as long as we have a deal that he would still allow me to buy “once in awhile” some more bags. Hahaha.

This afternoon, I got an email from him. See what’s written…

From: Dicky Liwanag
Subject: ….financial forecast
To: “Jody Liwanag”
Date: Thursday, June 19, 2008, 3:10

See attached file. Email me the following info every Sat so I can send you the updated report:

1. EEs Bank Balance every Sat.
2. Remaining expenses for the month.
3. Closed Sales indicating the name, service subscribed and initial payment made.
4. Actual forecast for the month.

Let me know if you have questions.

Love,
DICKY

Wow, seriousness! The email looks like coming from a BOSS. But at least he still put “love,” at the end!

I’m just grateful I married the right guy!

I was at my highest the first day.
But had my lowest the second day.

Husband said to just laugh it out now. Well, I am with the transition of the moods.

I hope it would be a different story tomorrow, cause I’m getting paranoid!

I met up with my gay good friend yesterday in the mall who came recently from UK. I can’t want to see the loots he got there since he said that he got himself some fabulous shoes. I was reprimanding him why he didn’t get a designer luxury bag instead but this friend of mine is no way to be a bag-person. He hates bringing bags actually that’s why he got himself 5 pairs of great looking shoes. Yesterday, he was wearing an alligator dress shoes. He said that it is so classy to get one and even convincing me to get Dicky as well. I’m not sure if my husband would like it because he really doesn’t wear too formal dress shoes. But my friend got it from Upscale Menswear which is the best men’s clothing and shoes store. I was suprised that he just ordered it online while he was vacationing in UK and it arrived right in his doorstep in the hotel room he was staying. The web’s store is carrying Belvedere and Romano alligator skin shoes. These are two of Italy ‘s finest exotic skin shoe manufacturers. The shoes are completely handcrafted, and their interior is a soft leather that allows for maximum comfort. That’s why my gay friend has been raving about this.

He’s a gay you know that’s why it is in cognac color!

Last night in Star Sports Channel, Dicky was watching previous episodes of the The National Finals Rodeo, organized by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. It is actually the premier championship rodeo event in the United States held every year. I got interested that I also watched it with him. It is usually held the first full week of December and WNFR Tickets are always sold out. Wow, if we could actually go to California on an early December, we could actually watch it live and get the best seat in the house. It is something that could be interesting to do in Thomas and Mack Center in the University of Nevada. My sister-in-law’s place in Temecula California is just 5 hours away from Las Vegas and we are definite to go there again this year. But we would only be going like mid-december already so I’m sure we would miss this great action-packed NFR. Dicky was telling me that it has always been a big event since it started in 1984 when the visionary Benny Binion initiated to bring it in Las Vegas. There are a number of bets and speculations already as to who will win this year’s NFR. In in the usual playing field, 2004 World Champion Luke Branquinho, with Shawn Greenfield, Stockton Graves are there. There are also 2005 World Champion Lee Graves and Wade Sumpter rounding out the top five. But of course 2007 champion Jason Miller is still there. And guess who is the official sponsor of this event? Of course, the ever famous jeans for cowboys, Wrangler. I’m starting to learn things about sports everytime Dicky introduces something new to me. It is actually interesting.

1. how did you meet your husband/wife or boyfriend/girlfriend?- I was working in Jaspage and I was handling dealers.  He has a cellular business that time and he was one of my dealers.  Purely professional at first!  Hahaha

2. where did you go on your first date?- We were going out na as a casual dining out before he even said he really has intentions.  The official one as far as I can remember was in Dulcinea.

3. when was your first intimate kiss?- secret!  bwahaha.

4. how many girlfriends/boyfriends he/she had in the past? do you honestly know?- serious or not?  Hahaha.  We were both in a serious relationship when we got together.  His girlfriend for 5 years and my boyfriend for 4 years.  But we both left who we had then and got together as a couple.

5. what is his/her ethnicity?- Filipino

6. what is his/her favorite food?- Pasta, italian food

7. what is he/she like if he/she is mad?- doesn’t really get mad but I have seen him once, not to me, but to another person!  Kakatakot!

8. what are the things he/she did you thought is the most romantic thing he’d/she’d ever done?- he is very very sweet with lots of suprises:
*on the first bday celebration I had with him, he arranged something with my officemates.  when I arrived in the office, all my officemates were greeting me and giving me a piece of a puzzle.  Then my very good friend in the office handed me the base of the puzzle.  It was a hand made puzzle with his caricature in open arms saying:  ”you complete me!”  O diba, jerry mcguire ang dating!

*on our first monthsary pa lang, he already gave me a commitment “eternity” ring.  I knew that time that he was the one already.  Naks!*on one of our anniversaries, bouquet of flowers were delivered in my office 5 times!
* also in one of our anniversaries, I entered his car full of balloons.  As in literally, punong-puno ng balloons.  He asked me to pop each balloon and a small piece of paper has something written on it.  Things like:  Dicky wil kiss Jody in the cheek, Dicky will say I love 10 times, Dicky will bring Jody to a nice restaurant tonight, etc.  It was so cute!  And of course, the main gift…it says Dicky will give his gift….it was a bracelet.
* He organized 3 suprised bday parties for me already.
* and lots and lots pa…super haba nito pag inisa-isa ko pa on this tag na ito cause Dicky never fails to suprise and make me laugh all the time.
* I particularly like especially those moments that he would just call me within the day and ask me how am I doing.   We always make quick chats on the phone even when we are married na.

9. describe how he/you proposed to you.On our 3rd year anniversary, he brought me to Santuario de San Antonio.  I thought it was just the usual visit to the church since we are celebrating our anniversary.  While sitting in one of the pews, he said”  Ganda sa church na ito no?”  I just nodded.  Then he said:  I want to marry you in this church.  Marry me now and I would court you forever!”  Those were the sweetest words I have ever heard!  Of course I said yes!  We immediately went to the office to check availabilities.  No ring as he gave me already 1 month pa lang kami!  Commitment ring yun.  Hahaha.  But I knew it was coming.  Niyaya ko agad dun sa office at baka magbago pa ng isip!  Hahaha.

10. (my question)  What do you like most about your husband? He is a very responsible man.  He is very loving and caring.  He never fails to make me laugh everyday.

Now, I am passing this meme to Jane, Kelly, Joy and Aggie.

Had a great restful night since I didn’t bother to watch TV anymore as the husband has been preoccupied in checking out his baseball picks while playing his playstation. I was up early today and got tons of work to do. I hope to finish everything before I hit the supermarket this afternoon and bring the car for maintenance. Oh and I need to blog about Margaux’s first day in school yesterday. I will still need to download the pictures.   Will post it in the other blog.
